|
 |
Hi guys, I just downloaded Fifa 16 for xbox 360, the game is over 8gb, i have Verbatim dual layers but every tuturial i find online to burn games, for some reason dont end up working on the xbox, games that are smaller then 8gb have no problem working.
Please can someone provide a detailed tuturial that i can follow? I can either burn on my laptop built in burner or a have a external usb liteon also.
Thanks

How long ago was the last time you burned a title? Are you sure your 360 drive supports XGD3 titles and has been properly re-flashed with the latest iXtreme firmware?

I checked the site and they specifically advertise iXtreme LT 3.0, which is fully XGD3 capable... so it could just be as simple as your home PC not being setup correctly to burn XGD3 titles. It's not like it was before, you can't just pop a DVD-DL into your burner and hit "burn!" - you need BurnerMAX in order to force the drive into writing outside of the usual DVD-DL limits. Find out what your PC burner is, check it against the links I posted above for BurnerMAX, and see if it's compatible. If it is; enabled BurnerMAX payload (or permanently firmware flash the device) and then follow the steps for burning with IMGBurn. Also remember that you'll need higher quality media than normal for XGD3 since you're overburning to the disc.
Do you have anyone you know that has 360 backups? Maybe borrow a recent title from a friend and see if that works? If a backup of a new title boots on your system, then it's completely fine and you just need to burn correctly.
~edit~
Turns out I misread your OP... you have a laptop. Stupid me for not seeing that. You're going to be completely SOL with that, there are no BurnerMAX compatible options for internal laptop drives as far as I know, and few for external ones. You have a LiteOn external so;
http://www.ixtreme.net/ixtreme-lt-lite-touch-download/33961-c4e%C2%92s-burnermax-payload-tool-v0-15-a.html
try that. It will tell you if it failed or worked without having to burn a disc.

before you think about buying a new burner -> think about getting it rgh'ed! is available from many shops, with send in and modding it should stark around 60 bucks. if you want to solder it by yourself (which isnt that hard) you can get it cheap (its around 20 bucks afaik). second possibility is the xkey
