Sounds dumb.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

It's ridiculous. Fine, if it's a free game, but asking people to buy it and THEN saying "if you get ganked in the first 2 seconds and you die, tough shit!"? That's just pathetic.

The idea behind the game is pretty cool.
Though the game has to be free to play. Or at least have a very cheap option to get another life, for like 1$ for example.
As it currently is, most people probably will just refund after dieing or even before.

Absolutely. The trailer looked really interesting, I love the idea of actually building your character and carving out your little slice of the world, where you can improve your base or assault someone else's, where one death means you lose it all. THAT's clever. Still open to abuse from cheaters or shitty lag, but it's a good IDEA.
Make that game. Sell it. Let people start over from scratch if they die, or live forever if they're kickass enough. But don't make this game, charge people money, then remove their access forever if they die.. that's a dick move.

Well it's not really that different to DayZ or H1Z1 or even ARK then I suppose. Concept is probably money making anyway.

wut? If you die in DayZ, H1Z1 or ARK you're not prohibited from ever playing the game again unless you create a whole new Steam account AND buy the game over.

But you lose everything anyway, by removing the "feature" to have to rebuy the game (as in making it free to play which I read a few times now on a few places) it's literally just the same thing. No matter if it's a new account and rebuying it or an old account and then rebuying it.
Let them be if they wish to make it like that, I don't think anyone will suffer from this existing.

Except it's not the same thing right now. Like... at all. Not even remotely the same thing. One game lets you play as much as you want and doesn't steal your money, the other... doesn't.

Who is stopping them? Unless you mean I should shut up, in which case; no. =)

The "money aspect" is the CRITICAL difference. I don't know if you're just in an argumentative mood today or what, but you're categorically wrong on this. So just stop. Charging money to play and then prohibiting your access when you die in-game is NOT similar to other titles out there. It just isn't. Stop it.

If I understood this right, the actual death is up to the other player to decide?
So if I shoot another player,he is not instantly dead, but rather dying etc? And then you choose either to kill him off or take as a prisoner(and maybe release him later)?
Quote: |
When the enemy is defeated, you decide his fate. Forgive, humiliate, finish off, take everything he has – it’s your choice. Saved life of some loser? Take them captive and make them work off. They will do everything to be free again. No other game will give you this feeling of power over other people.
• Freedom of choice: kill, take captives, make others work for you or help those who need it.
• Live communication: voice and text chat to see and hear screams of rage or cries for help.
• “Full Loot” system: take everything your defeated enemy has.
|

Seems like a neat idea, although it'd seem like a nice throw-back to the arcade days if they plunder 50 cents from you if you die and wanna go again. Insert coin.
of course, the fundamental issue here is hackers.

This game is going to fail. I didn't realize they blocked your entire Steam account, I thought it was only a game account and you could make another one - which would be annoying enough to prevent me from playing a second time.

Stop what? WTF man! It's okay if you like the game, but it's the same thought everyone more or less already had in here. The game looks very generic and the "critical" difference is the only reason the game gets any significant news.
Eh I respect what you say, but you're not going to shut my mouth because you cry "stop" and the "argumentative mood" is pretty provocative for not really understanding what the other discussion was about. How can I be WRONG on MY opinion? WTF man! It's okay if you like the game, but it's the same thought everyone more or less already had in most places.

I can't think of a bigger waste of time to invest hours of gameplay into then this game. Perma death in a fps?. Noooooo what a silly silly stupid idea. Just from the video it looks as if dying isn't hard to come by either.
edit: some of the ideas sound interesting though, and quite funny. I imagine there will be so much griefing within the game though haha Anyway, this game will have a drastically diminishing player base within a matter of weeks if they really do block your account.

Some clarification by the devs on the details of this "perma-death" is needed as do the imprisonment mechanic. One live per game installation/ account does not make sense out of some social experiment.
It looks mehish otherwise
