seems windows 10 mobile is coming even to windows phone 7.5 devices like the lumia 800 which are 4 years old and havent even been upgraded to 8 (according to a devicelist xml in the ms knowledge base). ms is taking the win10 for every device to new level with this

Really? Is that confirmed?

Can I start rubbing it on the face of my appfag friends or will I be ridiculed if it doesn't happen?

according to this xml file its true -> https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49182

the only surprise is that it includes the old wp 7.5 phones. every phone with wp8 and 8.1 was known to get it (though there are some problems with 4gb phones, either you will need a sd card and if you have none or not even a sd slot you need to use a pc and the ms tool to completely reflash the system)

Nice, that's a very good change for people still on 7/8 who don't want the hassle (and inevitable failures and fuckups) of using the upgrade path.

Wth is this annoying memory leak shit in W10? I couldn't find any issues using poolmon so it is definitely not a driver issue so wtf is causing this, so close to going back to W7...

Committed keeps climbing until it hits full and then I pretty much get just a blatant crash.

No it won't because I start getting error messages about running out of memory before it crashes...

Takes two days to fill it up.

If it only was that simple.

There is nothing in performance monitor or poolmon that gives up what causes the leak.

If it was that simple, I would have fixed it by now.

It takes too long to build up, I'm not sure I can manage to stay in safe mode for so long >.<

I understand, have a look at this which you might find helpful in at least identifying the leak:

Thought I'd go back to getting insider builds again, and switched to an MS account to do so. Well how fuckin irritating! Must be some setting that is disabled or whatever?, but it insists I log in with a password at each boot, no matter if I have it set not to do so!!

Been through all the hoops trying to get it not to do so, but in the end I just gave up, and returned to a local account Rolling Eyes

MS have released latest insider build (10565) as an ISO for download, in all languages.

Microsoft's Gabe Aul announced today that ISOs of build 10565 are now available to download and install on your device. If this is your first time installing a Windows 10 Insider Preview, you'll need to go through these steps:

Sign up for the Windows Insider Program, if you haven't already.
Read the system requirements.
Click one of the Download links on this page to download a special file—it's called an ISO file—that you can use to install the preview.
When the download is complete, transfer the ISO file to installation media such as a USB flash drive or DVD.
Boot your PC from the installation media, and then follow the steps to perform a clean install.

Wat.

W10 sucks for now atleast, too many annoying things to fix before it is usable on a fresh install and shit, no proper start menu etc.

Just way too annoying.

7 doesn't need fixing fresh out of the box and W7 Lite install takes like 5GB off my SSD on a fresh install.
7 > 10 until further notice.

I'll gladly gimp myself in the future though if DX12 becomes relevant at some point. That is a long while off though.

so whats annoying? i think its just u that doesnt want to change a bit. 10 runs better than every other os after its release. never got any slowdown or bsod or similar stuff. startmenu works if you know how to use it, otherwise use crap like startisback
