Since Dex was released, we have been listening to our fans' feedback and working hard to deliver this Enhanced Version, which will finally make it the game we always wanted it to be.

wut? Laughing

PS I'm looking forward to this.. I really liked the game despite its flaws.

Well so far, all their enhancements and fixes are coming from community suggestions and complaints, so I guess they really ARE listening Very Happy The new console/controller-focused UI is likely to annoy a lot of PC gamers but I guess that was an early indication of their new "we're coming to consoles!" announcement Smile

Definitely looking forward to playing this again with the new changes.

Oh, nice.

@Sabin1981, what do you think: worth getting it at 50% discount on Steam?! It's now on sale, so i'm thinking that i actually want this added to my collection.

This game has been on my wishlist for a while but with such a long backlog of stuff I should get around to finishing it will probably be better for me to try and wait for it to get bundled or get a bigger discount. By then hopefully any new bugs introduced with this Enhanced version will be fixed still it does look like it would be fun to play.

So Much Win

Just had a look at the usual places to buy this. But either it was not available or not cheaper than on Steam. But 7-10€ is still a bit too much for me for this..
Gonna play the isodemo till it's on a good sale in the future.

Any chance this can be played as a stealth character?

Will download as soon as they release the extra outfits, as they aren't just cosmetic.

It's absolutely worth getting, at full price or 50% Smile

More so now than before, but remember; this isn't a "stealth" game. It's a fighting one. You are going to have to fight. A lot.

Yup, this Sad I'm actually really fucking pissed about this turn of events and it just shows how little communication the team gives to people. The DLC isn't just some cosmetic thing, it has been touted as the primary update and change to the game; new "outfits" that completely alter the gameplay *and* which bring new quests and new areas. For them to turn around at the last minute and say "not launching DLC yet, it's still in review" is just... arghhh. They should have postponed the whole release in that case.

Well, it looks tempting. Less stealth considered, might worth checking it.

Haha can confirm that! I wanted to panther the hell out of it but even with the augmentations it just wasn't possible all the time (because the level design didn't always allow that approach).

The original shooting was weak too, so throwing punches a-la Bud Spencer was a necessity. Very Happy Laughing
Thankfully it seems from the changelog that they've improved the armed part a lot along with the AI *books next year's playthrough #2*

I'm supposed to get 3 key cards, I have Crash's card. The AI researcher's apartment didn't have anything, so I don't have that one. I have info on the security guy, not the card itself. Am I supposed to find all 3 key cards before I go to the area?

That part really should have been made clearer, but no, you're okay. You only needed Crash's card from town itself - the other two are found at Redmond Barrens itself.

(don't forget to keep checking your log, it gets updated constantly)

Is the GSV-2 mission the final mission? Decker seemed to imply it. Do I have to clear the other missions first before going there?

Bad news.
Jan Jirkovský suddenly died :-/
He was creative lead designer of DEX , Lead designer in Keen Software( Miner Wars) and pretty much the main guy behind a lot of gaming and game dev events and workshops here in Czech Sad

His work on DEX was (from linked.in)
Quote:
I was the creative lead on Dex from the project’s original conception. My key responsibilities were to:
- Hold the project’s creative vision and ensure its coherence
- Create the storyline, game world and characters
- Design gameplay mechanics and oversee their prototyping and development
- Manage the development team
- Feedback the other team members’ work
- Select and direct voice actors

Given the small size of the team, I was also responsible for most of the PR/marketing/community management for Dex, which included:
- Preparing, launching and running a successful Kickstarter campaign
- Steam Early Access with monthly/bi-monthly updates
- Gathering feedback and bugreports from the community
- Representation of the game in media, interviews and on conferences and events
- Running the company Twitter, Facebook, Kickstarter updates and Steam announcements
- Active searching for competitions, indie events and alternative marketing possibilities
