pretty formulaic, nothing surprising or fresh in the film for the most part, but the whole daughter thing went better than i feared (i expected it to be over the top, annoying, cringeworthy, but i didn't find that to be the case), and overall i found the performances to be solid and interesting enough to make up for shortcomings with the story.

pretty enjoyable, 7/10

Child 44 - 7,5/10

A solid detecthriller, well directed and acted, with an excellent atmosphere on top of everything. It always manages to stay interesting despite some minor pacing issues and the odd feeling of seeing British actors desperately trying to emulate a thick Russian accent like in the B-movies xD. A bold move comrades.

(It didn't bother me too much, but I imagine this aspect could literally ruin an otherwise good movie for many people).

The visit - 6/10
Was quite well, but it wasn't worth seeing it on the big screen. Especially if you were expecting to see a horror movie Laughing

Inside Out 9/10
Really good, easily the best Pixar in some time. The concept isn't new (Woody Allen did something similar in the early 70s), but the execution is as usual perfect and hitting all the strings.
Would watch the sequel about puberty Very Happy

The Visit 6.5/10
It keeps your attention, that's for sure, but I wouldn't call it horror. Child actors do a good job, and I like it that they make logical decisions (even if it's something as simple as looking stuff up on the internet).
Tension falls flat in the end though. Too many jump scares in quick succession, making the whole thing predictable (that scene in the bedroom, obviously).

The Martian 7/10

Starts out really good but in the end becomes way too predictable and full of clichés. A lot of poor casting excluding Matt Damon who did a fine job

The Martian - 8.5/10, might've enjoyed it more if I watched it by myself instead of with an annoying audience who laughed and clapped at everything.

Martian

8/10 if you don't take the book into consideration

and 3/10 if you do.

Felt like 2/3 of the book was cut out, including a very important sequence near the end. They excluded what made the book interesting ie. the science behind each and every watney's decision. On the plus side whenever they decided to keep something it was spot on what the book imagined, felt like watching what I pictured in my mind when I read it.

Terminator 5: Aven ... eh .. "Genisys": 8 / 10.- Solid action movie, that brought me back to the T1 and T2 feeling. Maybe, the best action movie so far this year, and if you love time travel paradoxes and don't mind nor question the sense that machines from the future are sent back in time to kill, you gonna love this one.

Mad Max Fury Road: 6 / 10.- Maybe the best Mad Max movie, tons of action, tons of burned kerosene, with little pause and mad motives everywhere, that aren't to be questioned.

The Judge: 8 / 10.- A very good drama movie where all the cast did an excellent job, starting with Robert Downey Jr and Robert Duvall, as main characters. Everyone did a really nice work, that touched me because of the story and the old man. Even non lawyers will have a great time watching it Razz

Straight outta Compton - 7/10.
Would have been 8/10 but the last third of the movie was a drag.

Ninja Turtles: 6 / 10.- expected crap and got well served and nice smelling crap, which was a nice surprise. Movie is far better than Transformers 3 and 4, even that Michael Bay was involved, he didn't directed this one, which seems to be the answer. Story was predictable but the Turtles were well developed as characters. Also, Megan Fox looks awesome in this one Smile

I liked Depp playing something different instead of regular goofies he does.

Black Mass - 8/10

I finally found the time to watch it (with them trusty hieroglyph subtitles), and it didn't disappoint me, despite some clichès and slight sense of deja-vu in the narrative department.

The serious eerie tone set up the party for one hell of an intimidating psycho, thanks to the good ol' Johnny Depp who stole the scene and gave the whole movie a reason to exist. He really was that good. But the rest of the cast was solid as well (except perhaps for a hilariously high-pitched Cucumber xD), and the slow, depressing pacing and music did the rest. The movie won't amaze anyone, but I consider it solid enough for whoever fancies some classic mobdrama.

edit: haha, while I was writing two more black masses appeared^^

Actually, I'd give Black Mass 7/10, not 6.
Did some thinking and that was a good movie. Altough the FBI goon was shit-as-fuck-annoying.
