Yes. The free resources one took me a while because I didn't understand what it even needed me to do. Then I saw the word "requires" or something and I was like ooook, got it.
Everything else was super easy.

Meh, I'm not overly keen on the game and it's not that scary, plus it's making me extremely nauseated! ( high fov/ medium fov ). Constant back and forth and looking for objects in the dark, just got me bored.
Wasn't a fan of Amnesia, Outcast or any of it's type so that came as no surprise! One day I'll play a really scary game

I haven't played this one but it looks more like a scifi thriller than a horror game.
This game is a GREAT sci fi game overall, it has a creepy vibe, but is by no means a horror game, the horror aspect is more subtile, and psycological, its a great game though.
The underwater scenes are really well done, the puzzles are fun, i really like how you have to make some mechanisms work in order to advance, and they always have some logic behind it, that makes it mechanical and not just some irrealistic puzzle that will open a door and has no connection to it.
Now we have to wait for the Depth prequel(?) movie.
Tis here in the form of a mini series I guess?
Ep1:
Ep2:
6 remaining.
The character Imogen Reed is *spoilers of the game*
Spoiler:
the one whose body you are using in the game.

not quite sure why they didnt release it as a full short-film... the individual episodes lack the punch to make them worthwhile individual bite-sized chunks like vivarium and mockingbird were...
ep1 was kinda interesting but didnt really develop sufficently enough... and ep 2 was basically just reed crying about the doom of the human race, and watching some whales fuck :3
though i am curious about the alert conditions met thing. that seems to be the point of the episode...
Unless there is a later release with more footage, from these 2 episode I can theorize each scene lacks the (immediate) connective tissue to the previous one, hence why they are releasing it as 1 at a time.
Also surprised nobody from the press has caught wind of it or that Frictional isn't advertising it a bit more..

slight spoils below for main story, but this is in regards to the videos...
to be honest... im a little disappointed by these vids... that last one, i mean... some context would be nice for the structure gel drinking... we know akers went batshit with injesting that shit, but we have no context as to what drove golaski to start... isnt that what the video was supposed to be about? expanding on the story, setting the scene, giving some context and such?
such a great story, so much creativity, and two amazingly interesting videos (vivarium, mockingbird).. this just feels amateur and... kinda pointless.
im really hoping for the next vids to start connecting things together and start telling a coherant plot... i was hoping for so much from this, especially setting the stage for soma!!
I think it's because the production company had more freedom with this "movie" and something was lost in the process of doing their own thing. Maybe. I am still somewhat enjoying them.

Will watch all the goodies once I'm done (still in the middle of the Somathrough ), but meanwhile I did some gamma Reshade experiments and ended up with this. It removes some of the default vaseline/fog and enhances the contrast a bit (otherwise it's almost like being in the Po Valley).
- 92k copies sold across PC & PS4. (Steamspy shows ~50K copies on Steam. Add a number of GOG copies as well and it's clear the PC version sold more). The money made from those copies is enough to pay the company's expenses for 2 years.
- 300k copies they need to sell to recoup costs.
- 20k copies Amnesia sold in the first week.
- 120k copies Amnesia: AMFP sold in the first week (obviously because people were super hyped having played the original Amnesia - but revenue from those copies was split between them and developer TCR).
Then they discuss whether the game is scary or not, marketing, piracy, etc.
Finally, the live action clips apparently were never meant to be a continuous movie. They meant to release them 1 every month up to the release of the game. But they had problems with the production so they are showing them now, 1 every day.

Pah! Am I the only one that didn't find this game scary? Or even worthy of a GOTY
I think a lot of people didn't find this game to be particularly scary. Personally I loved it for the atmosphere and story. Definitely not GOTY though for me either. People are just so starved for decent horror games that anything above decent seems god sent.

these eps are weird.. its like being read the first page of a chapter, and just at the end of the page the story feels like its about to go somewhere and youre about to get interested, and then it just ends. its beyond frustrating.. i keep saying this every time an ep comes out, but ffs these episodes need to start tying together and telling something cohesive... we're getting such TINY tiny tiny little morsels of plot, but because they never go anywhere they feel like a pointless tease with nothing else behind it. I genuinely hope the series ends with what happened to reed... i have to believe this is going somewhere!!!
well.. this one was actually pretty good... finally some semblance of game cohesion, context, world 'fleshing out', tits, blood, swearing and creepy shit.... but that ending was a headscratcher...
the ending i dont quite get... id imagine its either because the wau tried to rebuild her brain, but since there was so much damage, the waus attempts to reconstruct the brain either failed, or too much information was damaged, that the result was deranged... OR this is somehow tied in to what i think i remember reading in the game about experiments with the dead rats becoming violent because of however the wau had calibrated the gel (uncalibrated gel made the rat nonviolent), if so, then i wonder what the wau's purpose was or if it was accidental on the wau's part, since everything its attempted to do was to preserve life, not hurt or destroy it...
