While this looks cool, I can't say that I've cared for any of the other titles from Fatshark. They all either don't "feel" right combat wise, or are dead population wise for the MP within one or two months, or both (got burned on Lead & Gold and War of the Roses. )
Edit - video for new page, originally posted on previous page by Prudislav before I done ruined it, sorry!
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

It looks pretty cool, but everytime I see it I'm reminded of the fact that the setting I used to love so much is now dead, with dancing sigmarines casting their winged shadows upon its grave
Because COOP also means as it does in real life accidentally hurting your team mates. Nothing remotely odd like that + it should teach your team mates to watch their fire. Adds additional drama and challenge..

Or in the hands of gamers: it ends up with shitheads having lulz.
So I don't care much for FF when it involves randoms.
Guess having it as an option would be the right way to appease us both.
Yup, options all the way.. every time. I'd fight for the right to have functionality that I would never, ever use, if it meant supporting those that would use it. FF? In a game with other potential asshats? No thanks, not for me, but an OPTION for people to run servers/games with FF enabled? Gimme the form and I'll sign it.
Well would be nice that when you step over fire you take some minor damage... in that COOP gameplay the character steps over burning Shaven and.. meh.. loving the amount of chop and gore.. meatshielding is yummy!

Why would there be?!
It's co-op, not competive MP.
If there's no FF, then it's just a mindless POS hack 'n slash / shoot 'em up.
Strangely enough (not!), FF has been working very well in Left 4 Dead, just to name one such co-op game off the top of my head.
Also, why FFS would you play such a game together with random assholes? Even I can garner 3 extra guys (I wouldn't necessarily call them 'friends') that I trust not to be TKing me all the bloody time. And I'm bloody far from being a sociable person.
Friendly Fire in L4D was only good in Versus mode. As an infected you could this way trick the humans to hurt each other.
But in a game like this, which is all about co-op, i see no use for FF. Like mentioned, you always have some idiots that try to troll you this way by damaging you.
But i must confess, sometimes i do that myself with a crap team: damaging teammates and then continue playing, like nothing just happened.

Interesting, how would you find them? I mean it's no problem to find such group for popular online games like CSGO or Dota, but finding them for coop games seems much harder. At least I know people who buy some game, play it for 30 minutes (usually even less) and then crawl back to Dota. That's a reason why I ignore coop games completely - not worth buying just to play for 30 minutes and then searching for new coop buddies or going public.
Played beta for a couple of hours today, recorded my first 15 minutes in the game. It plays similar to Left 4 Dead, but the setting is more interesting for me. I like how the melee combat feels - you can tell that weapons are really hitting your enemies, kinda like in Dark Messiah.
I will be uploading some more videos with other characters/levels really soon.
EDIT:
Level 1 again, this time completed. Character: dwarf
I thought the beta didn't kick off until October 1st? Have they sent keys out already?
Edit - Nevermind, I'm an idiot. Pre-orders apparently get access to the beta a week early.

No matter how good the game "could" be. This is made Fatshark and I urge everyone to stay away. At least for quite some time after the final release of this game.
Fatshark has the tendency to break and then abandon their shit.
The best FPS melee combat so far is - IMO ofc - the one from Dying Light. It's almost perfect. Dodging, alternate attacks (heavy, throwing weapons etc.), special moves, ALL of them just with simple and intuitive combo keys.
I hope this L4D inspired "vermin" fighting simulator - and other similar games - will learn from the "master".
