edit turns out I don't have the latest update. I'm sure that one solves my problem (as Frictional claims). Alright then, downloaded it now, back to the game it is then.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
I would have finished this game today but I decided to watch Terminator Genisys instead
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."

"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
Regarding the ending........... Man Simon is a little slow
Okayish ending. Good script (not super deep as some have made it it to be). Good voice acting (with a few exceptions). Overall a well told interactive story. 9/10
Now we have to wait for the Depth prequel(?) movie.

script isn't deep, but it's better than hollywood sci-fi flicks like interstellar though. I'm proud of gaming finally being capable of beating hollywood at their own game.
My eyes started to hurt because of the blur effect while being wounded. How can you even play this game when "color separation" option is turned on by default? Worst use of chromatic aberration I've seen... Why is that even a thing in games now?
That was by far the most chilling game ending I've ever experienced. In fact, I think they shouldn't have put that post-credit scene there. Almost undermines how powerful the "normal" ending scene is.
One question:
Spoiler:
I decided to NOT "poison" the core, as I didn't trust that voice in my head. I was pretty sure it was just WAU trying to trick me.
Was I right? Or would I really have killed it?? What changes if I did? Left me curious...

Spoiler:
few lines of dialogue and a lost left hand. you never know for sure if you really kill the wau. as for the ending, It doesn't undermine it at all, as those are two different individuals. the ark part of the ending still leaves the "original" simon stranded alone under water

I was wondering already
Spoiler:
How my pressure suit was working now after i lost my hand
They really REALLY need to make a System Shock3 using this engine or with UE4.. whatever... SOMA was utterly incredible through and through.. some many memorable parts and the GFX!!
I just "sorta" wish..
Spoiler:
..there were different endings based on the choices you made on such events as letting X live or die or the surveys you took. Regardless, quite satisfying throughout..

but seriously.. how fucking stupid was simon his inability to grasp simple concepts was staggering... i think i figured out how his crash happened...
"simon, when you're sitting on the drivers side, remember YOU'RE the one in control... simon.. simon the corner... simon turn the wheel... simoSIMON TURN THE FUC-"

Spoiler:
probably either that gel, or the fact that you only need the head to really be protected, and the suit was shown to be segmented in areas.
Spoiler:
That doesnt make any sense since the suits were originally made for humans.
Spoiler:
the gel... the gel basically seems to be the games magical macguffin, it can do ANYTHING! the wau infected entities are shown to be quite capable of existing at that pressure anyway, so its not unbelievable within the story's narrative that the gel contained within simon 3's body was strong enough to stop his body being crushed when the suit was damaged.
and if your next question is 'why didnt simon 2 just pour the gel into his current suit so that he didn't need to transfer into the deep dive suit.. i guess you already have your answer.. the continuity/self termination conundrum needed to be presented for the stories narrative... additionally, i dont think catherine fully understood what the gel was or the extent of what it could do at that point, so her plan to transfer to the deep suit was the most practical

Haha very funny about the car crash!!
I have to agree this is seriously one of the best games ever, definitely my GOTY
The story, pacing and narrative were so well executed.
Usually in games I CBF reading extra notes ect but with this game I was actively hunting them out to further get a sense of the story.
Could feel homage to the old System Shock series...
So much polish.... Dam what an experience.
Spoiler:
really liked the survey it asks you at the start and when you reach the end to answer it you genuinely answer it in such a different way
Now is Everyone's gone to Rapture any good? Really want to play something else like this

Ask PS4 gamers.
But I will say this, ironically TCR's previous game, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, is closer to Soma than the original Amnesia was. Try it if you haven't. Like Soma it features a good story written well but it's much less interactive and with far fewer puzzles and enemies. It's the walking simulator version of Soma.

Tis here in the form of a mini series I guess?

But aside from the story I have to say that I was fairly disappointed in the game. The puzzles were extremely weak, can't even call them puzzles. The monsters were hardly a threat 99% of the time, the graphics could certainly have been better but they were okay. The design of the world was great and looked very nice but I feel like there was a lot of repetitive scenery.
yeah, I wouldn't say this game has puzzles. unless you call buying a new GPU and inserting it in the PCI-E slot a puzzle
It's really just an interactive story where all other elements were partly sacrificed in complexity, to keep the pace going for a wider variety of player skill in puzzles/sneaking.
