Still playing MGSV. In the meantime I've Mad Max, Life Is Strange, Soma, Stasis, Evil Within, Zombi and MK X all sitting in my backlog.

I'm actually finally making progress in Shadow Warrior, so I guess it means I'm playing it, heh. I can't believe how good this game is. It's kind of crazy that a studio managed to make something like this in this day and age. I'm also really impressed with how it looks and runs, even on my PC it stays at 60+ most of the time, not quite max settings but not far either.

replaying crysis 1 atm. finally able to pull of 60 fps maxxed. it only took 8 years
The gameplay is fantastic even today, but the bad coding really shows with modern PC's. Just passed a scene in the jungle, where i went for stealth, but I made a mistake, and the enemies from the whole map bunched up in a small area (a dozen of them, 15 at most), and I was suddenly CPU limited and down to 45 FPS, on a 4.6ghz haswell

I just started The Talos Principle after it sat in my Steam account for ages, and damn is it good. Wouldn't have thought from the videos, but I read all the positive comments from you guys, and then I just bought it to support Croteam. Love it.
Otherwise Diablo 3 Season 4 sometimes, and some Mad Max until it bores me after 2 camps.

HOTS mostly, which I enjoy but Im not into it as I used to for some reason.
Always loved new sports games, NBA2k, PES, Fifa but its all getting a bit boring, even NBA2k lost its charm for me, getting old maybe? I found myself playing Baldurs Gate 2 for hours the other day. Looking forward for DS3 though, played DS1 recently again as DS2 wasnt as good imo.

https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/semi-realistic-car-physics-v - better than most, especially those that claim to be like GTAIV but utterly are not. None are really.
+ some custom edits. Firefights can be lost if you're shot just a few times now, it makes body armour, the cover system (which is great in first person) and generally thinking about firefights a bit more necessary.
Plus I took the dispatch/loadout/vehicle.meta (maybe some more) files out of one other mod, I forget which, but it basically changes it so that helicopters dont arrive and respawn every 3 seconds
https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/rebalanced-authority <<<< pretty sure this was it.
There's another popular mod with weapon/combat changes & recoil but it's just stupid. I've shot loads of guns, and for it to be that bad you'd have to have the arms of a 6 year old.
FWS works with changing the FOV again too, so you no longer need to use that shitty user made one on GTA5-mods.com (which would clip through weapons in first person) |
will check it out. definitely coming back to gta V soon, now that I have a gtx970.

Nah, there's no cheating. it was coded to always keep you on your toes, but every time you are caught, it's your own fault. He is coded to maintain proximity, nothing else. You can still remain undetected at all times.
At least that's how it felt in my playthrough on max difficulty.

If I remember it right it's sort of like a "leash" between you and the alien maintaining it so that it can't be further away from you than a set distance and it's scripted to always appear and emerge in certain areas, it doesn't exactly roam the station freely though some mods have attempted to make it more unpredictable by extending the range of the "leash" and relaxing some of the other scripted settings so the alien can roam around a wider area and won't immediately appear just because you entered a certain room or solved a puzzle.

^ This.
That "leash" make it's behavior... unnatural. The levels are sub-segmented into areas. Once I pass from one area to another, the alien switches too.
So, this is not my idea of fun. Nothing to argue about, also.
EDIT
I played with that "alien behavior mod changer" and I ALSO died. Once I ran into the subway station - did NOT expect him there and second time he popped near me from a vent being attracted by some human shooting at me. He killed the human and I thought I'd have time to run away to objective door. Obviously I miscalculated his ability to kill fast.
To be honest, even those situations were fun. Made the alien's behavior much more "real", unexpected, fair (in a non-leashed behavior).

Yep, all true, but IMO if you call anything cheating, it's the relax mods, because they give you more breathing room in situations where you were intended to be on your toes from constant alien vicinity.
So in essence, blackeyedboy, you turned on cheating, not off
However, I just love the game so much, don't mind me

I also turned off auto-targeting combat in Witcher 3, to suit my preferences. Am I a cheater there too?
