has ea changed something about the online play? maybe not only p2p now to prevent cheating? after release i played three matches with a friend without any lags. we started co-op saison, won 4 games with no problems which were a bit laggy (minimal inputlag) but ok. 4th match was horrible, we lost that due to the fact that both of us had a input lag above 1sec (which makes the game unplayable wiht manual controls). started another match in our friendly series and that was laggy as hell too (both connections ok with normal pings ~10-12ms). that leads to the conclusion ea maybe got away from the pure p2p matchmaking?

I think this is even better than the demo, great game. Although what I dont like, in my first game there were 2 penalties, one against me, but in both cases they did not show the replay and it was not really clear what was the reason for both penalties. Of course I was too lazy to check myself. Very Happy

according to the penalites: it has the same "issues" as 12 had (think with 13 they fixed it). if you try to block a ball with a sliding tackle inside the box and dont hit the ball but the ball comes to the other attacker but in that second the player which passed the ball hits your player which did the sliding tackle and is still on the ground just slightly -> penalty

Hehe, there is a funny bug, when you create your own player, it wont give you an "unknown" photo but some random black guy photo instead, and my player is white. Very Happy

I see what you did there, EA. Troll Face

Will there be a squad update? Many transfers are not in the game (like Kuba and Martial).

fut roster is a different roster file. same goes for online season roster Wink

i like the live competition cups (hopefully virtual bundesliga will be on pc too when it starts on 1th october. time beat up those idiots) cause every player has the same main stat (85). its much more about skill and not about star players

All the casual kiddies bash the game. All the derp critics including IGNorance put low scores because the game is more sim.
I already made a backup of the whole game folder in case EA ruins the game.

Thinking about getting this. I've never really played a FIFA game and I have not tried the demo but I watched someone on twitch play this and it looked fun.

Just a few questions:

- Playable with keyboard or do you "require" a gamepad for this type of game?
- Is there like a single player career mode or only quick matches? Not really interested in playing online.

Finally -> when I hola-vpn myself into the mexican origin I just go "checkout", *then* disconnect the vpn and just pay with Paypal, right?

Thanks Smile

You're lucky this is your first EA FIFA game.
- The gamepad is recommended. Imo is required.
- There's a pretty good Manager Mode. It has its flaws but will keep you entertained especially if you start with a lower division team.

Lucky, why? Were the others that bad? Razz

Anyway, can you confirm the VPN steps maybe? I've looked through the thread but there seem to be a lot of different options?! (FlyVPN, OpenVPN, Hola). I don't know which one is the hump-approved solution.

Use Vypr or TunnelBear.
1. Connect with US VPN (or Korean or Indonesian)
2. Launch Origin
3. Launch game
4. Alt-tab and disconnect VPN.

Making a FUT Draft online team was a terrible mistake, game started alright and I had 2 very good chances, including a "get it in, 2 cm!!!" moments but then started losing it 1-4 and still got 3 Packs, two Gold one Silver.

Should've started offline with the Token, now I can only play it if I reach 15k via trading Laughing

it also seems the rewards stays the same no matter the difficulty on offline draft
only the match coins you get are less when playing amateur instead of world class
so if you want you can play amateur offline draft Very Happy

Which VPN do you use? Most probably there's not a connection. Try Vypr with L2PTP protocol. Get into the game and then alt-tab to disconnect. After this you'll be able to play the game without the need of a VPN connection everytime.

Where is Ixi? He must be shocked that EA finally released a football game. Tbh I still can't believe it.

Confused You're doing something wrong. Do you have a message that the game is still locked?

Nope, no message no nothing, even if I start origin with my real IP from Argentina, it says nothing (and the game unlocks tomorrow in my country)

Im connecting to US, start origin, launch the game, nothing happens... the demo works just fine... will try with another US VPN.

Edit: And now the game launchs perfectly without VPN Laughing Laughing
