Quote:
AVG, the Czech antivirus company, has announced a new privacy policy in which it boldly and openly admits it will collect user details and sell them to online advertisers for the purpose of continuing to fund its freemium-based products. This new privacy policy is slated to come into effect starting October 15.

The policy says:
We collect non-personal data to make money from our free offerings so we can keep them free, including: Advertising ID associated with your device; Browsing and search history, including meta data; Internet service provider or mobile network you use to connect to our products, and Information regarding other applications you may have on your device and how they are used.

As good as it is Malwarebytes is not an actual AV. I would suggest eg. German Avira FREE + Malwarebytes. http://chart.av-comparatives.org/chart1.php?chart=chart2&year=2015&month=8&sort=1&zoom=2 Smile

AVG is the sort of shit my sister would use on her laptop and then come running later when its all fucked up. These "tools" lol, are primarily standing side by side with people who need windows 10 home and auto updates.

I've made bank this year off of people who used AVG and it fucked up their systems one way or another, I should send them a personal letter thanking them lol

I remember that ironically AVG was the only antivirus that worked well without conflicts with my university's (silly) Cisco protection, it seemed very fishy. Maybe there was really a reason behind that Razz *wears tinfoil hat on*

I shit you not, I had a computer a few months ago that had Norton, Mcafee, AVG and some other one I can't recall off the top of my head with Spybot, Malwarebytes and ad-aware, all running at the same time. I'm just sitting here looking at him "DUDE WHY WHAT THE FUCK, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU ....WHAT?"

His response?

"Well like...1 AV catches viruses, so like..wouldn't 3 catch more and be more protected?"

.....do you wear 3 fucking condoms when fucking someone you've never met?

"well no...I just wear one...."

SAME CONCEPT DUDE!
