Well, I could not find a dedicated post for the Xbone, so I made a new one.

Is anyone aware of new edition rumors or such?

I've been considering getting xbone once they release the patch which allows streaming the xb games to pc.
But I'd like to get the 'best' version of the console.
Ie. currently there is the XB Elite, which has some 1TB hybrid sshd, which increases the boot times of the console.
Anyone heard of a slim model or such ?

As if there are rumors of such appearing soonish, I guess I'd rather wait Razz

Also, how loud is the box? The first edition of Xbox 360 was like a hoover. you actually had to turn sound up to be able to watch dvds. The latest version was already very silent, so... how is the Xbone?

I have a day 1 Xbox One and it's not loud at all. I dont even hear it. I dont think the price for the elite version is worth it. The faster booting isnt really an issue with the instant on feature, and the 1tb harddrive well...

you better get the 500gb version and with the extra money that would cost you the elite version, get a 3 or 4TB external hard drive.

Oh, they allow any HDDs?

I was under assumption they take in only MS branded ones Razz

Nope! Any external usb HD (USB 3.0 and 256gb min) is allowed. You just plug it, then the Xbox format it and boom! Shitload more capacity!

But you cannot use the same HD for PC too. Once it's formated for the xbox, it cannot be used elsewhere unless reformated.
