Sniping is so fucking broken in this game. Enemies always know exactly where I am after the first shot even if I'm hundreds of meters away, at night, wearing the stealth suit and using a silenced rifle.
yeah, but they're just shooting at your direction, not you. They don't really know where you are - you're not really exposed.
They know after you shoot again though.
Anyway, here's some more secret stuff and game mechanics :
Some of it i heard for the first time (like the lullaby triggering soldiers going to sleep or what showers do for BB).
what the fuck ? So many secrets that shouldn't really be secrets, like the fast travel option or that you can do so many things with your box.
It's really fun uncovering all these probably, but I would be angry if I played the whole game without knowing it all - I'm in the middle now.
@bloodian Those aren't "secrets" most people just didn't bother checking things out I mean people should be dealing with a game that doesn't give you the hand everytime you press a button.

Why would you be angry? Are you not enjoying the game for what you have experienced on your own? If not, then these would hardly help push the game. If yes, then what is the problem?

Yes, I'm enjoying the game, but gameplay would be more interesting if you knew of all the tools at hand.

this is what i actually love about mgs games, so many ways to do something and all these semi-hidden tools and tricks for thr player to discover, instead of being spoonfed everything like in most games nowadays.
Anyone crashing after escaping the hospital ? Im on update 1 + crack V2 + Win 10 x64
Worked like a charm but i can't get past the point after the tunel, it crashes everytime
Many people are complaining about that crash, it crashed for me too both under w8.1 and w7 and there does not seem to be any workaround for that crash. Had to look up on youtube whats after the crash point (mostly more custscenes). At least starting with chapter 1 and onwards the game seems to be working without any problems.
so if i understand correctly you can continue on with the game despite the crash?
Yup, after that point everything should be fine on paper. I just finally installed it, played through the (absolutely glorious ) prologue till the ambulance crash, watched the rest on the Tube, and then re-inserted the 3DM save that starts from the first chapter.
Now I'm roaming around with the amazing Roach..err D, clearing outposts and I've also completed two missions without problems.
My need for stealth panthering is being fully satisfied by this Phantom, it's always pleasant to experience such a complete freedom (with markers disabled of course, vade retro HUD ). I'll take it very slowly as usual, hope the narrative structure and design can stay engaging till the end, even with their inevitable ups and downs.
I do need something for dat FOV though, I feel like I'm glued to Snake's butt (sexy, but still!)
Portable Ops done, doing the "install data" part for Peace Walker now ("lel derpsoles are much better, no time waiting for games to install hurrrrr"), next is GZ and finally this.

Is there any crack that allows to play the game with that 1st chapter in hospital atm?

It crashes at the end of prologue. after that delete the new one and rename the old one back.
I am able to Play... but no sound(what is the current fix)? 3DM version,I got the unlocked one,which is 12+GB
My Usb sound card doesnt work with this, just the integrated and hdmi out.
Never Mind,manage to get it working,just applied the 3DM update and V2 crack and Restarted the game,the Game Works Well on my Built In 4600 HD,but I was forced to Lower the Setting/Res,I am getting 970 gtx and Double my Ram Soon,that Should Boost things up

thanks for the info. what about crashes in some later mission? (46?) can the game be finished with that crack or is it broken? would sux to play 3/4 of the game only to find out that I cant progress any further
jeez men, another game where you can't map almost the entire right section of the keyboard to any actions. haven't encountered that for quite a while

No, the only fast travel is by using the cardboard box on the shipping platforms throughout the world. You have to visit each one first though to unlock them.

Currently trying it for the 5th time (again without affecting the game world in any way in order not to break their weak scripts) in the hope that all 4 conversations will trigger
I've had the target prisoner not be able to get up, I've had him wandering alone while he's supposed to be escorted elsewhere, I've got the interrogator leaving before the conversations are over, and I've had the fucking retard guards execute prisoners and then call an alert on the dead bodies they created
