PostPosted: Tue, 15th Nov 2005 08:59    Post subject: Finally got it working.
i have had the same problems that using SR stop or vcd hide not working.
and indeed after removing Slysoft software from memory such as AnyDVD
now the game worked.

what i did was, remove any Slysoft stuffs from memory, then mount the image in Daemon (i found using Daemon tools more efficient) with all emulation on.
then ran SR stop (hide and then exit the progm)
change compatability mode to W2k (despite i need or not, since people mentioned it worked that way migt as well), and finally launch it

It worked for me using D-T 3.47 and SR7Stop. Didn't have to put it in NT mode.
After installing D-T 4.0, i get this error:

"Please remove disc from current CD/DVD drive and insert the original "Battlefront2" disc in drive F:." (F is my only real station).

Don't know why it doesn't work. The only thing that have changed after the new D-T, is that the virtual drives are from "J:" ->
On the old one it started on "G:" ->

When I use SR7Stop, the only thing that's hidden now, is Vax347s, which i suppose is the old D-T driver..

Any suggestions? Smile

Edit: Have removed the old D-T drivers. So now SR7Stop has got nothing to hide.
Still doesn't work..

crazystian:

re-enable the daemon tools, and try to set the virtual drives as the first cd drive letter,
you can do so from system settings in windows.

besure u have the mds file mounted

No I have uninstalled DT4 and some drivers I found on the old one.. All clean up.
I installed DT4 again, and the drive letters "became correct again".

But still I am not able to open this game. It's really odd since it started on the old DT.
Still don't work in NT mode either.
So the only solution I have is to go back to an old DT, but I don't want to do that...
Anyone else who has got problems with DT4 and this game??

Update:
If I use Virtual CD-Hide in stead of SR7Stop i get a different message, something about a security module..
Only way the game works is by disabling the real station...
Think it's like this on every Securom 7 protected games with DT4..
