College Hoops is back!

It’s that time of year again--the time of year where basketball courts around the nation are filled with excitement, slam dunks, unbelievable athletes, Cinderella stories, and championship dreams. Nothing captivates the nation like the NCAA Basketball Tournament and no other game captures the collegiate atmosphere and energy like College Hoops 2K6.

KEY FEATURES:

Player Disposition - Each player has an inherent set of attributes: consistency, focus, and confidence. Utilize practice drills, scrimmages, and weekly meetings to raise these attributes to their peaks, so that you can heighten your Player Psyche and optimize your players’ performances.

Coach’s Clipboard - Whether it’s a full court press or a quick shot at the end of the half, coach your team to victory through specific timeout directions with Timeout Focus. Improve your zone defense efficiency and exploit your opponent’s weaknesses by having total control over individual zone replacements with Zone Substitutions.

Selection Sunday - No day in college basketball is bigger than Selection Sunday. Watch a broadcast of your team’s placement into the NCAA Tournament. Listen to commentary as video clips give you the low down on all the bracket match ups.

Season Preview Show - A new show presented by Gumbel and Kellogg, lets fans know who is on the preseason Top 25, who the preseason 1st and 2nd team All-Americans are, and what major coaching changes took place over the off-season.

Midnight Madness - Celebrate this nationwide event to kick off the college hoops season. Participate in the first practice of the year with a midnight intra-squad exhibition that has become a college hoops tradition.

The Online Experience - 2K Sports continues to lead the online gaming revolution as College Hoops 2K6 features seamless online play and the most comprehensive online feature anywhere including completely online stat tracking, buddy lists management, and online leagues.

Looking forward to this one. Although I'm predominantly a football fan; this is the sports game that I end up playing the most every year. It's so deep it's ridiculous.

really nice thread hayvis, I'll play any of the 2K sports games I think at the moment there some of the best games out there. MLB 2K5 World Series Edition which came out recently was is a good example of the quality of their titles and World Series Poker was pretty decent as well if your a hold em fan.

Have you played this series before? If you haven't then you're going to be in for a real treat. IMO it's the best 2K have to offer (and that's saying something when they've made so many great sports games over the years).

I haven't played college hoops but I've got their previous 2 NBA games which are just so much better than what EA has to offer. Their hockey and NFL games are significantly better IMO as well just the TV style presentation, depth and choice of game modes plus most importanly the way the game actually plays is spot on.

They also sell some of them as budget price on launch which is admirable.

One of my favorite things about this game is the amount of unique arena models they have in this series; right down to some of the small schools. Here is the complete list for 2K5 (not my work; a guy over at the 2K message boards called Moser316J researches this painstakingly every year). Hopefully they add some more this year. It adds so much to the authenticity and depth of the game.

Bump. Almost out now; although it's going to be overshadowed largely by the release of Xbox 360.

However College Hoops 2k6 will be released for the Xbox 360 in January, so I will update the original post.
