Been there and done that, thankfully it was just a normal nail and there was barely any bleeding

I can imagine the pain, had one of those big nails going right through my right palm once.
Didn't hurt at first but pulling it out and afterwards... ouch!

In all seriousness, get better soon cobALT. I've also had to renew the anti-tetanus subscription a couple of years ago when we fixed the barn and nailed my left hand. 
On the bright side, we can now apply for a position as fakir!

Can't find a thread right now, but I step through a fucking screw (was taking out screws in my flipflops)....
That thing went in half way.
Worst thing about it. I was doing it alone in my basement, room was soundproof( guy had sound studio). I kinda tried calling people to help me get up to walk the stairs, but nobody could hear me at all. Took me good 15 minutes to crawl from the room to the stairs and up the stairs...
Afterwards, all you could see is trail of blood as I walked from the room to corridor in basement to upstairs and to the kitchen on first floor before someone decided to help me

Ouch, that sounds unpleasant. Though, I'll never forget the feel and sound of pulling the screw out; it's like the sound of an adjustable plastic straw when you straighten it.

Actually the medical personal who checked my wound said that the fact that I wan't wearing anything on my feet, like shoes/flipflops that could have contaminated the tip of the screw, and the fact that I was in a clean environment, I can pass on the anti-tetanus subscription this year..

I only had pictures of the screw for the medical examination, didn't bother with the wound at that time. And besides, I think anyone would want to see that (a foot and a fleshy dot).

You must have them emunities. But like I said, no vaccine for now, though I did got them a lot as a child, was alway poking/cutting myself with rusty nails/barbed wire.

Well that sounds unpleasant. Not sure, but I think I remember the thread your talking about.
Normally I never leave screws, nails or anything sharp lying around, but in this case I wasn't doing the work, my parents had contracted some workers and I was just helping them out; I noticed they left a wooden frame with screws in it lying around only after I jumped off a chair straight intro the screw -- which is no excuse for being dumb and not looking down before descending.
