I decided to finish this once and for all. I've been playing for a little over 8 hours and just had my first and secondcringe inducing moments back to back.

Yes you guessed it, I'm talking about the stupid dawn song. I HATE IT!

Apparently they thought they had such a winner on their hands they decided to make it unskippable.

I had to sit through that shit twice because of a CTD after the cutscene.

It's worse than every single time Thorin Oakenshit and his band of shitdick dwarves sang in those bloated, soulless, Hobbit movies.

And they follow that up with another cringe inducing scene where your character is chosen to lead the Inquisition, and other characters spout some of the most clichéd dialog ever.

The writing is getting progressively worse. I wonder how low we can go. Laughing

You're in for a crazy ride Razz Laughing. There is a 91.7% chance that you'll regret spending time on this game once you're done with it, but never say never.

My only advice is absolutely not to pursue the completionist way: just do the main story and characters-related quests if you want to try to enjoy it before the Spanish Inquisition arrives.

It still didn't work for me (even though I had to finish it anyway, to see how far they could go xD), but that's another story. I don't think it's a terrible game, it's just a terribly average one, especially in the combo combat/writing departments. My fondest memories involve the banter between the characters, and being used as a sex slave by the Bull.

Yea, and it will turn out that the Reapers are to blame for all.

I'm forever barred from entering Redcliffe because I didn't meet the Elf mage earlier in the game?

I can't complete the romancing Cassandra quest because I chose to ignore that Elf and side with the Templars? Are you fucking kidding me?

Mayube I'm wrong but there's no road to Redcliffe, and I read that if you meet the Elf earlier in the game you can simply teleport to the village.

I can't reach it by foot because every path is blocked by rocks.

I sided with the templars instead of the mages and Redcliffe is accessible, you'll never be able to enter the actual castle outside of the sequence when you work for the mages but that shouldn't be important for anything else and the town itself should be open.
(Or you might have to complete some plot to make them open the gate first, it's barred initially though I don't remember the exact condition for when it's opened.)

Will there even be hype for DA4? DA: I was such a boring, monotonous and uninspired game. It was the first Bioware title I didn't finish.

Lol, every game getting GOTY editions, it's so stupid.Do stupid titles like that even increase the sales compared if they named it properly like "Complete edition/package"?

I guess they refer to 3 DLCs with proper content (Jaws or Hakkon, Descent, Trespasser), not other junk DLCs that were released for the game.

But I thought those, besides the last one, were just small time DLC? Guess not.

I think the last one is actually the shortest but also the most story-heavy. The first one is just another collectathon zone with barely any story and the second one is a gaint boring dungeon with barely any story.

I'm curious if they'll lower the damn prices per DLC on GOTY launch.
Currently sucks ass to have to pay 15$ for each DLC. Bought the first one at 10$ but I still consider it overpriced.
