My list of bands

Children of Bodom - Death Metal with excellent melodies
Tristania - Melodic/gothic death(woman's voice does the difference)
Theater of tragedy - same as above
Metallica - you can always tune to the four horsemen or for whom the bell tolls Wink
Queen - the best singing voice ever-IMO(Freddy R.I.P.))
Dire Straits - some really nice tunes
Rammstein - the old ones like Bestrafe mich, sonne, du hast, etc
Dream Theater - progressive rock

and many other like MSG, Bob Dylan, REM, Lacuna Coil, The Offspring, Apocalyptica.

My personal reccomendation: oops! i did it again - Children of Bodom(makes it a SONG!)

Ἢ τὰν ἢ ἐπὶ τᾶς - Μολὼν λαβέ
Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.

I'll replace ffaf with jimmy eat world. Damn, just listened to bleed american (first time properly for a while) and just realised how amazing that album really is. simply great. Maybe its because t's 5:40am i dont know but fuck me it's good Razz
I'll place finch on this list too.
Damn there are so many bands I like now though. Instead of just listening to album after album my playlist is a big mix, and I can actually put it on shuffle and have great songs all the time.

Why do you hate nirvana? You can't say that they dont have great songs. Lithium is 1 of my favourite songs ever. Smells like teen spirit is an ever lasting classic too. I like nearly all of nirvana's stuff and you have to admire what they did.
Motorhead are pretty decent too. Queen are legends too. I haven't heard much of crematory but I do dislike eminem axel rose (G n R aren't bad) and ac/dc. But there are far worse bands / artists than these in the world.

@Sublime: I can't stand any of Nirvana's songs, not a single one, thus, I can't admire anything they did. and in my oppinion they were just fucking overrated, just pushed up and praised by all media and especially mtv. but that's just my oppinion and its alright if you like them, everybody's taste is different.
To G'n'R, I can't stand axl myself, he's a fucking prick

@Nailbiter: easy, I like the music from my top4 better than ac/dc or motörhead Smile

But why don't you like them? The tunes are catchy and varied. You might not like cobain but you can still like the music. And I agree with MTV pushing them into mainstream and stuff but they're good anyway.

Well, for me most of the songs sounded too much alike, not a single song really caught me which i liked. but i must say, i dont like grunge in general. And I never said that I didnt like cobain, my oppinion of him is, he was a little pussy who chose the coward way out. But i think that of everybody who commits suicide, there is always some sort of way out though.
