in germany you can return items without any reason within the first 14 if you get them as delivery from internet. belgium any similar laws?

otherwise amazon isnt forced to return it (depens on the failure classification of the device). but amazon never disappointed me, even close before warranty end and product not available through them anymore. just got money back (a friend even returned a partly broken tv and broken laptop two weeks before end of the 2 year warranty. always got his full money back what he paid 2 years ago)

sadly i'm not in belgium anymore janz i moved over to the usa 2 weeks + ago tho it's a good thing in it's own way in belgium we aint got amazon (there's ways around it if the seller does ship globally but usually it's a pain)

luckily amazon has a pretty good return policy for 7d and since it happened in the first 3 after delivery i'll prolly get a new one

it's just frustrating since the screen is only 3days old to allready have that bs happen :/

I believe some manufacturers also have a dead / stuck pixel policy but unless it's changed since when I read about it the norm then was three pixels and not just one though some few companies did accept replacements even if it was just one pixel that was faulty.
(But yeah if it's only been three days it's definitively going to be possible to have it replaced or refunded.)

@jbeckman: as i said its about EN ISO 9241 (international standard)

failure classes 0-4. its how the device is rated. if its class 0 = every pixel error is one error too much. class 1 allows 1 dead pixel, 2 = 2. 3 = 5 and 4 = 50 (always lit pixel). for always dead its the same, except class 3 allows 15 instead of 5. and almost the same ratings for subpixels (which is most likely here the case)

yeah it's probably a subpixel still bites when it's the whole channel that stays out instead of just 1 rgb color

atleast amazon has a bloody good return policy the screen is an Asus MG279Q

idd janz but apparently the qc at asus is a bloody joke since i got my replacement screen today guess what 5 dead subpixels and 2 dead ones how does that shit pass qc?

so i'm off contacting amazon again tomorrow and fetch replacement nr3 and hope that one isn't faulty since apparently all the 144hz monitors that use the same screen have the qc off nothing

there's numerous posts about the issue it's not even funny anymore

i know janz but i've never had it this bad before it's just a joke on a screen that expensive it's the first time in 15years i had dead pixels

and can't really afford sending another back so gonna pick between either both or having no screen for a week and getting another one

not that sending one back would matter since getting one dead pixel is actually lucky with both this and the other 144hz screens
