Terminator: Genisys 6.5/10
In my Terminator list:
1. T2
2. Terminator
3. Terminator Genisys
4. T3
99. T: Salvation
All in all Genisys was okay but I was somewhat underwhelmed. Several noticeable plot holes and unexplained/weak time-travel premises that may either point towards a sequel/prequel or rushing the script.

Son of a Gun 7/10
Enjoyable movie, very straight forward but a bit predictable. McGregor delivered a nice performance again. Didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised!

Guess this is a fair score. I didn't think it was all that bad, especially compared to Salvation. Not a good movie, but not a terrible one either.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.

The movie should have been called Burpinator: Genyshits. Crapilia Clarke and Cardboard Courtney can't act to save their lives .
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Going Clear : scientology doc from HBO
people are fucking stupid as fuck / 10
John Travolta in this... god.. "I'd love to meet Hubbard because he's brilliant" - there are various interviews with Hubbard in this doc and you can clearly see that he should be hospitalized, not revered. Tom Cruise saluting to Hubbard's portrait... Why people ?? WHY?!

You people don't believe Travolta, Cruise and other celebrities get the same treatment as the slaves who give everything to the "church" only to get brainwashed, controlled and mentally broken down to the point of becoming fanatics?
Cruise, Travolta etc. all get the "star treatment", a soft, glowing "spiritual" version with access to the Scientology network of contacts, something akin to Masonry, Templar Order etc.
For all I know they're in on the whole thing, feeling like the super elite.

The Imitation Game - 7/10
Cuberbatch's fantastic performance feels almost wasted on a film that is way too cute to be one with an entirely fictional story, let alone one supposedly based on true events.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."

Yep, it's explained in the doc. They're doing everything to keep him including tapping Nicole Kidman's phone for him. It's also explained that Tom Cruise and Travolta are the only ones that can stop this madness.
Well, and the IRS

Another fine performance by Cumberbatch (and his character's partner but I don't know the actor's name lol) but as a movie.. it's boring.

Terminator Genisys - Four Pops/10
There is a fine line between homage and sacrilege, this movie crossed it, multiple times, with a bulldozer.
The whole film felt like one of those youtube Freddiewong live action things, only extended for two (painful) hours with hollywood cameos here and there, practically zero atmosphere and a writing that I can't even. The supposedly gripping scenes had comedic times and delivery, since no one was taking this movie seriously, starting from the director. When they gave away the main twist in the official posters, it was clear that the amount of fucks given was zero, genius(y)es in their own way xD
As for the acting, good lord. A mother of eyebrows as believable as Tommy Wiseau, and the other Jaiguy who was so bad that even Arnie's CGI version conveyed more emotions. Arnie himself as expected was the only good thing in the movie, at least he made me laugh with the classic one-liners and smiling. 'Old, but not obsolete!'

Furious 7 - 6.0-6.5/10
It has top notch action, very enjoyable but everything else is just stupid. So standard F'n'F. It's a shame that every other actor in the movie is more enjoyable to watch than the main star.
Kudos for the very tasteful farewell for Paul Walker. Spoiler: | Absolutely didn't shed a tear |

Ex Machina - 8/10
What a visually boring movie. I don't mean the robot parts, which are a small miracle to get them looking as realistic as they do on such a small budget, but the set design and colors were just boring.
And definitely not a fan of the blurry as fuck cinematography: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/screenshot.php?movieid=128113&position=14
Good movie, but the plot is not really deep (not a problem) and the numerous twists/revelations were for the most part extremely easy to predict (and that's a bit of a problem). Combined with the extremely small scale of the story, I can say it's well made, but certainly not a masterpiece.

See but this is the thing that shits me about movies today, Is this a gen y thing? This studio aimed this film to stack up like your list (arguably not with salvation) this is 100% mission complete.
It's like they don't aim for good, creative or original, just some rehash crap to slip in reuse material and make bucks. Sequels don't have to be recycled garbage fuck, look at T2.

What can I say, I guess my brain works by doing subtraction(?).
Anything I don't mention is good.
Almost everything I do mention is meant to subtract points from the subject's score.
As a side note I can't believe they took the robot dude from that episode of Black Mirror and put him in a story where this time he is the human interacting with a robot.

Pandorum - 4.5/10
With a by-design overly gritty, ugly or even disgusting production design, some weak acting, head scratching non concealed use of stop motion for the creatures and a completely nonsensical plot the movie was perhaps not worth the second chance I gave it since I first watched its first ~25 minutes and shit-deleted it accordingly several years ago.
Still, that was one impressive sound mix.

That's a high score for a review that's basically all negative | And that 8/10 at the end... just realized that consoletits probably wrote some eurogamer reviews too

You think wrong, because I am a big scifi fan. The movie is derivative of much better scifi movies. Take Pandorum producer's Event Horizon for example, which isn't even that great of a movie.

Mad Max: Fury Road - 9/10
With the tightest of scripts, a strangely likable set of characters, enough action to last a trilogy of films and a clever combination of visual trickery of all kinds - all guided by the particularly wild imagination of the powers to be - this is a fresh and most welcome approach on creating a modern action movie.
Still, despite the fine directing that does a competent job making the action interesting to look, there are moments amid the exhilarating action set pieces that there is slight confusion over the events taking place on screen - not something unexpected if one takes into account the amount of moving vehicles and characters in the most frenetic of them.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
