I use it *all* the time, seriously... several times a day if not more.. because I deal with a lot of files on my comp. Ctrl-Shift-F and it brings up a search window instantly. Perfect. I can't imagine an install that doesn't come with Everything at this point ^_^

i would recommend startisback over classic shell
way more and clearer options

I can choose any hotkey combination I want for Everything. I chose Ctrl-Shift-F so as to differentiate between ctrl-F being used for every other app already, thus negating any conflicts.

I guess that pissed on your bonfire, huh? Wink

under notifications in the system settings for security. Its there with the checkboxes I think just like windows 7 etc

Turned all that shit off yesterday, had no stupid shit over and over again anymore.

After trying ClassicShell i downloaded StartIsBack++ to test it. Damn, it's so much better. Fits in much better with the rest of the OS design. Also more options to configure.
Buying the legal version too now Very Happy

Yea i tried the colored theme too, but don't like it. For example in Firefox the whole currently white top gets colored, while the font color stays black. And the titlebar gets some ugly whitish background for the text. Looks worse than in Win 7.

produkey finds the key but the key doesn't work if you try to use it during the install, at least my upgrade key didn't

at this point i don't think any upgrade keys work for the install, you need win10 retail ones

you don't get or need a key to activate your upgraded windows 10 edition.
it will automaticly be activated after going online for the first time. somehow it's bound to your hardware id/live account/whatever no one knows. but you won't get a new key and you also can't use the old one to install windows 10.
only key you will find is ageneric install key... everyone has the same.

it's shit yes. that is why i use a dreamspark (retail) key and won't upgrade

Guys how does your gpus clocks behave in 10 ? When I set power option in nvcp to "max performance" and rest programs are set to "adaptive" my gpu clocks are still at full and msi afterburner says power usage at around 45% when the system is at idle ??? Setting things like that in windows 7 without problems, card downclocks when not doing anything, simple web browsing etc but in 10 its damn full clocks all the time

Can you check how your nvidia gpu clocks behaves in idle ? Maybe im totally wrong and Windows 10 is so awesome that I can safely use adaptive power setting instead of max performance ? Im afraid of doing that cause in 7 adaptive was causing problems and ive read in many guides etc to set it to max performance to avoid bad stuff when playing

Auto updating trick doesn't work for me Crying or Very sad I did all the steps and it still says auto-download and install when i enter into updates section.

The Windows Update setting only changes once you "check for updates" once.
For example. I installed Windows 10 with internet unplugged, disabled Windows Update in gpedit.msc, went to Windows Update, clicked the button and then confirmed that it's set to never automatically check.

My power on desktop on 10 seems to sit at 29 as you can see here no matter what the gpu clock is at when on desktop that is.

was no different from 899 to 1113

Why are you worrying about if its using power to run lol Very Happy not like its taxing the system at those numbers.

100% that is still workable? as the reg entry for personalize folder is not there. Which makes me think its not actually usable no more.

edit: the folder is only in one of the locations, the current user hkey location.... Maybe thats all that needs altering now since release.

This is a more upto date bit of info on it and adds the missing folder.
