sure, same as fifa from 3dm which needs a logged in origin account running in the backround. and hardline has battlelog too as kind of protection. but who cares about hardline? its a multiplayer game, sp part is utterly lame and very short

Tried it for a couple of hours. Runs smooth, plays okay. It's a DS ripoff, but it's fun and I like the art style.

I tried it and the game just freezes as soon as it gets past the first loading screen (not the one when you fire up the game, but when you start a new game). Oh well...

If the game is crashing for you(after char creation) it is because you need to change settings for virtual memory
I'm a smart guy so I had it figured out quickly. You are probably using a SSD, Samsung SSD

The default settings for virtual memory are too low for some PCs

Right Click my PC and properties, advanced system settings then > settings(performance), > change(virtual memory> near middle of screen), then select all your Hard drives to [system managed size] or increase the limits significantly.

Stumpled upon this. It might be helpful for people with crashes at start.

I had a quick blast last night, I honestly don't know how this was ever legally released... it's Souls. In every possible way, it's Demon/Dark Souls in all but name and story. Better visuals though and the combat combos are nice.

Played for a while aswell.
Mechanics are pretty much full on Souls rip-off. Overall it feels more streamlined. Better visuals , but the level design is miles below Souls. Art design looks heavilly inspired by Diablol 3

It's Souls-lite. The graphics are better but the art direction is surely not and the combat isn't as tactical as Souls either. Sad

1 and 2 are still amazing.

Any chance of getting this game to run on a dual-core CPU and 4GB RAM? I.e. anyone tried it yet on such a rig?

I know the sys specs are quite higher, I'm only interested in whether the game will start up at all; I don't mind über-low gfx settings.

Just gave it a try and oh wow, the combat feel so unresponsive compared to DS... :\

So turning off the nvidia shit in this game kills quite some effects right?

I am, but so was I in DS, the combat just doesn't feel as good as it did with DS. Dodging is prime example on how much slower the reaction is compared to DS.

I am playing as a light/rogue class with agility weapons and the combat feels just as unresponsive for me as well. Other than the occasional hitch because fuck know why (I assume its thanks to the Denouvo crap) the game appears to be running fine -- don't have a frame rate counter on to be sure, but it plays smooth. There's just something off about the animations and hit boxes, there's just a bad feeling to the combat overall -- which is even more noticeable if you switch between DS and this.

And those abilities, seem completely useless, playing with the rogues class and 6 times out of 10 the enemies seem to ignore them completely or they just cast weird and miss/go through the enemies without doing any damage (the Stab ability for instance).

I enjoyed it for a few hrs but clunky combat with a DS like rules set is just an awful mix IMHO.

Another thing I really dislike is how the save system works -- you need to activate a check point otherwise though fucking luck: you loose all your progress since the last one -- which appears to be the only thing, besides the art style, that they didn't try to take from DS.

Runs very well on the laptop (Asus Rog 751J) here with everything maxed except the textures, for the game advises above 6 gb of video ram for those.. But trying this after playing the witcher? Meh.. clunky, with little closed areas.. Razz

Anyway to eliminate the screen tearing in this game? The in-game V-sync is ineffective and this is the first game where V-Sync persists despite forcing it through nVidia control panel. Mad

version uploaded to TPB contains a bitcoim miner. I've just gotten rid of the fucker (the miner, not the game -- yet).
