Latest patch is 1.03, and it's pretty good. It's EA so there is still problems, but I'm sure if EA tries really hard, it will come out perfect....eventually.

just got this game, its great, much better than BF1942 imo I love being a sniper. Theres an expansion out soon too Smile

EA's biggest problem, is they don't seem to fix many bugs that are not big. And most of their patch stuff is crap.

you know what sucks, the game has been out like 6 months and price hasnt dropped a penny in stores.. I guess they rape people with the main game and charge alot less on the expansion. Oh well I suck at this less than CSS so w00t Smile

It looks like a real installer but there is no key. EA is letting anyone who buys it to preload like HL2 so someone must have just uploaded that. What a tease.

Great video. Never experienced Modern Combat (no console), so had no idea that the hotswapping mechanic was even a thing.

This thread makes me sad though - Battlefield 2 was released at the end of June 2005, this thread didn't even make it into 2006 with replies. Less than half a year before it was buried. Sad

Hotswapping would indeed be a fitting way to make a single-player Battlefield, you give the player a map, a mission to complete and full creativity with the approaches. It would probably end up being a random-ish experience with the AI but hell, in my opinion anything would be better than today's cinederpmatic scrip-o-rama filled with them dramatic personal stories.
