It's easy for someone to preach when he is on the outside. Criticizing and having an "informed" opinion on everything. As Syriza found out, the real world does not work that way. Only in theory. Even communism looks good in theory. But then reality proves otherwise.
I've bookmarked the article because it seems interesting though and I will read it soon.

I find that a lot of his ideas are matching those of Jacques Fresco. His documentary of 2006, Future By Design, has more or less the same vision of the future Paul Mason sketches.
Technology and far going automation will eventually makes human labour almost obsolete. All resources will be used at their highest rendability, creating an abundance of consumer goods. This will in turn make money obsolete.
It's pretty out there, I admit, but a lot of it makes perfectly sense. Fresco is also a long-term futurist, trying to predict societies 1000 years in the future. But some of the things he predicted in the documentary have already come true, like 3D printing of buildings.
I really recommend it, even for just a mind fuck. And it also has some awesome futuristic designs with actual meaning and thought put into it.
See also Venus Project (https://www.thevenusproject.com/en/) for more info (and more cool designs)
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

complete confusion
capitalism means unregulated trade/production which puts it in the same category as anarchism (free from oppression). technology/demand/production/abundance or whatever can not change definitions or universalities. mankind has so far never been free of oppression so what he suggests is dying has never existed to begin with
its true technology makes stuff obsolete, but just because we arent building highways with shovels does not mean there "wont be future jobs amagod robots do errything utopia we all chill wealth be grown by robots n trees n shit"
