WB are as greedy as ever.
The only thing that has changed are rfunds on steam.
They already had losses since they had to pull physical copies from shelves.
They most probably wont give the season pass for free or any free games since it would mean they would have more losses.

They dont care about reputation (If they would they wouldnt have left origins as it is and wouldnt have released this like it is)

So most probably just some skins or a free dlc

It is going to be all the Injustice skins for the characters in the game. If they did end up giving the season pass then they better have the option to pick a game from their recent releases for those that own the season pass already.

Or the likely scenario:

'oh you already have the season pass, here's a batman mug' OR SIMPLY NOTHING Laughing

I can see the free game (if they do one) as being another of their games with a season pass so they could see it as possibly getting more money out of you down the road on that game but it is a little disappointing that it seems we won't see a patch anytime soon.

I have been playing through the game a few hours each day to hopefully avoid anymore spoilers here and be finished by the time the Batgirl DLC was scheduled but it looks like there is no need for me to try and finish before Tuesday now. Whenever the game gets into its fully playable status though, I will use that time to run through new game plus and hopefully have all the annoying Riddler stuff done before then.

Plaaayed it as it is. The game was awesome, except the integration of the batmobile. That car seems to be the main character of the game. Everything you do, you do with the car. Not to mention that sometimes it feels like playing World of Tanks.

And about the Knight,

Giving a away a game for a free is good PR, but at the same time it is potential sale loss. So it comes down to that how much company values the positive PR that comes from the free game, if they think that potential sales loss of their other games(which they'll give away) is high then it is a bad decision for them to give away something for a free.

I guess ubisoft just dug himself under so much shit last year with the bad ports and other idiotic outbursts that they valued positive PR more at that time.

doesnt change the fact that iam right.
You kinda admit it here. Your first sentence implies that they had losses but not on a grand scale.
And as I said WB is greedy if we look at the past you can confirm it. Giving out free games for them is unlikely.

finished it, wow such a great story and game, great cinematography and very good directed action scenes, i just can't believe its over. its like all the 3 nolan batman movies into one, rocksteady truly pushed themselves with this one, the story and game truly feels massive.

and i did liked the batmobile, not at first but it growns on you and you use it more and more and its very practical.

@Newty182 We're not talking about 'potential sales' because everyone that gets a free game, already bought it. You act like it was a major hindrance like making a physical copy, it's digital for gods sake. The comparision of 'possibly' giving out a free game as opposed to take the shitshow for doing nothing in return is a pro argument in any way possible.

you seem to be the only one trolling here.
"Do you even business bro ?" to quote you
There are few scenarios:
The premise that warner bros would give us free games is mostly suggested by people in combination of a free season pass for everyone who bought the game. So people who already have the season pass "should" get a free game.

If we look at this scenario wb takes a heavy hit. Not only cant they sell any season passes anymore since the peak of the sales for batman should be over but also they have to offer games with the same worth to people who already own the season pass. So they need to offer a relatively new game since the season pass is expensive. Not to mention that they cant profit from the dlcs (single dlc sales) anymore)

In short this means loss loss loss.

second scenario:
They give out free games just like that to everyone who already bought this game.
->If they give out new games loss
->If they give out old games people wont be satisfied. "Hey look i know you are upset and all but here have arkham asylum which most probably is already in your library"

Doesnt matter if you wanna see it or not but companies calculate the tiniest things in regards to money.
They do calculate how much money they ll get in summer and winter sales for their old titles else those wouldnt be a "thing". They have to show their investors that their investment is worth their money and them pulling physical copies out of stores plus lowered income from winter sales might get them in trouble.

I'm about 77% done with the main story. I've gone from thinking the car is stupid at the onset, to thinking it's OK for solving some puzzles to again thinking it's stupid at the climax. This, in spite of having fully upgraded the Batmobile. Screw those Cobra tanks. Screw their stupid weak spots that seem to take as long to get a good shot on as it takes them to turn around, and screw the stupid upgrade that's suposed to distract them but seems to only be drawing them to my vehicle.

Batgirl DLC review.

Quote:

...

The Batmobile takes a backseat this time in favor of a tale told entirely from Barbara Gordon's perspective before the events of Arkham Knight. WB just couldn't resist the chance to bring The Joker back yet again, and it uses every opportunity to let you know that this is his DLC without really having him do all that much. In other more exciting news, Harley Quinn is back, but with her red and black Animated Series get-up for the first time in the Arkham games. It looks great.

All of the action takes place in the Seagate Amusement Park, which can be thought of as a tiny little sandbox that hosts the new DLC area. The Joker has captured Jim Gordon, and it's up to Barbara (and Robin) to save the day. Family kicks things off with a by-the-book Dual Play combat session, then it's off to free roam for Batgirl. For the most part (like all the other playable characters so far), Batgirl operates just like Batman -- she even has identical detective vision. Combat is relatively the same, and even though WB Montreal notes that she's "weaker" than Bruce, it doesn't really feel that way at all. It's very cool grappling about with Robin, but other than the use of a new type of gadget (advanced hacking), it's the tried and true Arkham formula.

In Family, Barbara can use her remote hacking device as a "catch-all" basically, to do all sorts of things like short-circuit devices or manipulate objects. Think of it like a super gadget that can do a lot. It's presumably done so you don't have to micro-manage all of Bats' tools all over again, and to give Batgirl a slightly different feel. Here's the thing -- it does work at a base level, mostly because it distills the experience down to a lot of the good bits, and takes away the pesky forced Batmobile sessions. In other ways it feels limited, as you're stripped of most of those wonderful toys.

None of the environments are particularly memorable outside of a nice little cameo I found in a water tank (in fact, most zones are even less interesting than the random spots you'll find in Gotham proper), but the linear format isn't jarring, either. That's mostly because of the fact that the DLC is so short. Normally that would be fine, but the story never really goes anywhere until the very end. Even then, it feels like a footnote rather than an impactful part of the overall narrative.

In terms of length, it's meatier than the Harley DLC, but not by much. You can complete the main story in roughly an hour, and sort out all of the other collectibles in another 30 minutes. What I would have really loved to see is a full-roam option with Red Hood, Harley, and Batgirl (I mean, the models are already in the game with grappling and combat animations), but it's not meant to be -- the latter is still confined to her tiny add-on area. There are eight Achievements/Trophies though if you're into that sort of thing.

Warner Bros. is really employing an odd strategy with Batman: Arkham Knight's post-launch content and the relatively expensive $40 Season Pass. All that's been revealed so far beyond a bunch of throwaway content (skins, races) is a handful of bite-sized episodes such as this; it's a far cry from the competent Cold, Cold Heart add-on for Arkham Origins last year. While A Matter of Family may be worth it for hardcore Batgirl fans, WB will have to do a lot better than this to justify the cost of the pass.
