I actually enjoyed the first one for what it was, played it through to the end .
Allthough it was arse, I played it through adn it was better than some of the tosh thats out there.
I am just hoping this is the same, I dont care if its not goty material, as long as its playable and a good laugh.

Just a heads up, you'll need the HDD fix before upping it to your xbox (some file names are too long).

I came across those as well using Qwix. I simply extracted the whole ISO and ftp'ed it manually which seemed to work without any probs.

it depends what the fix is.
If it contains any files from the game then no.
If its just a text nfo explaining it then I dont see why not.

No, it doesn't even boot. This is astonishing me most. Tried already all. patched / unpatched xbe. I will try again, when i got the fix on hand.

| Code: | Ok here is the hdd fix for True_Crime_New_York_City_USA_XBOX-CSiSO
I was too lazy to make a ppf patch but Hey! CSiSO was lazy to pre-patch her iso too,
so be happy that someone did a fix ;-)
Here we go :
1.Unpack the tcnyc.xbox.iso to raw files on your hdd by using Qwix.
(which takes a bit of time 15.468 files )
2.Copy over the XBEPatcher.exe to the root directory of the unpacked raw files.
3.Execute the XBEPatcher.exe and after its done hit enter to finish.
4.Remove the XBEpatcher.exe file from the root directory.
4.1.now start qwix again and make a iso of the unpacked raw files and start burning
or
4.2.FTP transfer the raw files to your Xbox HDD.
Thats it !
PS: CSiSO please take some minutes to check your releases first.
As DAGGER said in her nfos,those guys are not able to pre one game right...
At least they grabbed the raw files from the dvd correctly :p (no missing files
this time ...remember tony hawk american wasteland ;) )

Game seems ok so far. Graphics are nice, not great but better then LA. Still has some humor but it's more subtle in this one, Christopher Walken does the voice over for an FBI agent and one of the songs in the soundtrack is Don't Fear the Reaper- Blue Oyster Cult ("I gotta have more cowbell!").
Only problem I see so far is the pedestrian AI seems pretty dumb and they get in the way causing you to kill them resulting in bad rep. It's almost as if they go out of thier way to get in front of your car and if you're parked they'll repeatedly bump into your car saying "what the fuck?" over and over.

As I test most games, I gave this a test ride too, here's my impression.
This is actually not a bad game, and it's alot better than LA in my opinion.
The graphics are much better too, and it runs at an almost steady 30fps on the ps2.
I was actually quite impressed by the graphics. The cop station for example had an incredible amount of detail and looked awesome.
One cool thing in this game is that many objects have physics attached to them, so you can be in a shootout with some dudes and if you have wooden cupboards etc around you, they will shatter piece for piece if you or them shoot it, it's a nice touch.
The driving is still not that good though, kinda much the same as LA, it does the job but that's it, there's no enjoyment in driving.
If you liked LA you will without a doubt find this entertaining, it's everything LA was but much better.

If you use the HDD patch, it appears to delete a bunch of sound files and replaces them with just 1 of them. The 'MissionVOs' folder now has 62 sound files instead of the 67.
Some fucked up patch. I'd uses a disc for this or until a proper patch is released.

Yea the "patch" sucks. Ive had the game freeze a few becuase the game need to play that sound. Hopefully somone thinks of a fix.

Is there a working HD fix now ? if yes what is the exact file name of the fix.

Game froze for me at the beginning when you are chasing that dude through the alley and you shoot the car. It explodes and loops an annoying buzzing sound. This was after the hdd fix was applied.
