Executive Director, Marketing, Unscripted & Alternative Television
Who gives a crap what WB TV executives think about games? Not to mention it could be (and likely is) someone else with the same name.
If he said something about that Gotham TV series, perhaps I would pay attention.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
Man, I sure am glad there are at least SOME other people with performance issues, and here I was thinking it had to be my crappy i7-4790K or the R9 290 failing to render a stable 30 FPS.
When you see me complaining about bad performance in a game that just released, you need to be very scared

Holy Arkhamgate, Batman! How could Rocksteady disappoint on such a magnitude?
By not handling the PC version.

Game opens minimized and after the logo's it crashes... Anyone with a similar experience? Error message says there are quite a lot of missing files. Just downloaded the game for a second time, after it was stuck in preload-mode for some reason.
GeForce 'Experience' says my pc doesn't meet minimum requirements for 'optimal' settings (which has all settings to low it seems)
also you can see that the rain effects are non-existant on the PC when he's gliding what a joke
One of the rain effects shown in trailers has it realistically sliding down the batsuit when standing still. I tried spotting this in the PC version and it seems to be non-existent. I bet it's on consoles. What a fucking shit show this port is.

That's disappointing, PS4 is now the ultimate version Turning off Motion blur helped a lot in terms of performance, but it's still a little laggy at times but I can enjoy it to 80% now.
We’re aware that some users are reporting performance issues with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. This is something that Rocksteady takes very seriously. We are working closely with our external PC development partner to make sure these issues get resolved as quickly as possible.
We’ll update this thread when we’ve got more info to share.
Thanks
CODA
UPDATE 2: It’s been revealed that the PC version of Arkham Knight was handled by Iron Galaxy Studios, a small 12-person team primarily known for their console work. Among other projects, they handled the Destiny port to PS3 and Xbox 360.
Nah seriously, saying "external PC development partner" means they have either no rep at all (grade students ???) or it's a REALLY low end shit developer.
If they had any merit to them, they'd tell us the name of them lol.
I miss the days when a game ran reasonably well 'out of the box' without the need of patches.
Then came 0 day patches and the gaming community was in uproar about how can a game be released that needs a patch (sometimes several GB worth) in order to run well from the start.
With time we came to accept it and a new benchmark/milestone was set regarding triple-A releases.
I even seen people on this forums (IIRC) talking about imminent releases mentioning the 0 day patch like its something natural (and not in ironic kind of way).
And now we've hit a new mile stone: a triple-A game that doesn't even have a 0 day patch
mark my words with time this will be the new industry standard
