Why? The one you have is too powerful for F4?

Guys, we're dead. Don't know if it's been mentioned here but Xbone is getting mods like the PC version and PS4 wants in on it as well.

Good luck running any script heavy mods on the console. I bet texture mods will be out for them as well.

I forgot about SKSE. That is a huge amount of stuff immediately unavailable.

It would be nice if they added more of the functionality that has traditionally been part of script extenders.
But as you say, people always end up writing more functionality.

That's why I think if they get mods, they will get paid mods. Bethesda saw a revenue generator on PC with this but PCmasterrace aren't as gullible as they thought.
Now they will do it on consoles because compatibility checks, "different architecture", "had to go through internal checks" etc. etc.

Bethesda on New Fallout Mobile Game: "This Is Not About Making Money"
"This is about getting Fallout out there."
--
"It just shows that fans are smart; and if you give them something they think is fun, they probably reward the people who made it," Howard explained.
In other Fallout Shelter news, Bethesda has confirmed that an Android version is in the works and should be released in the coming months.

I really have to wonder if there are enough of the mobile gamer derps that actually play Fallout Shelter. If they released it instead on PC/Steam as a non-f2p-shitgame, they probably would have made much more money.
And in "some months" i won't bother playing it anyway, when we have the real game

I will play the fallout shelter game. I would have played it now if it was available to me. I like having games on my phone, never had fallout themed one before.

I understand there are no actual need to speed up loot drops by buying them, as there's no competitive online aspect as far as I've gathered info on it. In my opinion these games should be long haul experiences anyway, games where you sometimes check in to see how your Fallout shelter-ant farm thing is doing.

IIRC Howard said that the game's gonna be completely free of charge, without any micro-transactions whatsoever.

Fallout Shelter is a free-to-play game; revenue comes from the sale of virtual lunchboxes that contain extra content. You can buy a single lunchbox for 99 cents or pay as much as $20 for a set of 40.

Not sure what's the big deal? If i remember correctly this was the case in FO3/FO:NV too, party members didn't die, they went unconscious (might be related to difficulty level, usually i play games on Normal). If he dies you'd just have to reload the game, not sure if that would enhance anything really..

Uhm I think most followers in NV could die. That's why the "companions-essential" mod was so popular.
I used it too because, while I liked that they could die, the AI is so bad that they got themselves killed with doing the stupidest shit ever way too often.

Which is why the whole "not for money" thing is such disingenuous bullshit. I have no problem with a developer making money for a game, it's a business like any other, but they should just slap a one-off price tag on it and be done with it. The only reason this is an iOS mobile game is because they know they can make shitloads from in-app purchases. The reason the Android version will come later is because metrics show that Play Store games generate substantially less revenue. If they were really genuinely interested in giving away a free game, they would have launched it on all platforms (including PC and console) simultaneously, and without the in-app purchases.

Yep. Script extender team is anxiously waiting to get working on Fallout 4 as well. New script extender will be called FASE
All script extenders so far have been binaries, and no way in hell the console will run that, as it would open it up for exploits.
