Not sure what the shadow problem is on your machine, but on my nVidia 6800GT, the shadows are blocky, flickering and ugly...

question.
how does the full game performe on the 9800 pro's?
bec the demo on my 9800 pro with settings max sufferes in parts getting low as 22 fps @ 1024
im thinking of flogging thsi card and getting a 6800gt , but its hard for me to think that the 9800 pro's days are up, i think it is tho.

Yeah, I think your 9800 is getting a little bit too old.. It's now considered lowlevel. Mainstream starts with 6600GT for nVidia and X700 for ATi afaik.

Thats normal i also have a 6600GT and runs the demo @ about 35fps @ 1024 with everything high so thats about good for the 9800pro..

Im using a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback wheel and everything works fine expect a vibration problem. When i crash into another car the vibration goes on as hard as it can Very Happy and it doesnt stop until about 15-20sek or till i crash another car. How can i slow these vibrations a little bit down or how can i avoid these vibrations to go on after i crashed a car?

i refuse to play in 800x or turn settings down. it pains me to play a game on anything less that what it was meant to play like.
so im going to have to overclock this card brute force stylie.

I'll post my results with my 9800 Pro 128mb when I get home from work. I haven't had any problems with any of the new games from OCTOBER MEGA MONTH!!!!!! Sorry, it was a big month! LOL! I don't run FSAA. I just run 1024x768 32bit 75mhz on all my games. My next card will probably be a ATI X850. There is no way with a family that I can afford an X1600 or X1800. I was a Nvidia dood but didn't like their drivers so I changed to ATI. I haven't had any problems until this NFSMW or BF2 shadow problem.

What a blast, pretty close to the best need for speed, and hats off to ST0N3D and all involved , and no problem installing extract , mount with dtools 4.0 already had dx9c from COD2, nvidia 77.30 and also noticed when installing the chevy ss and the bmw m8, so minus the extra dvd and music tracks it looks to be all there, imho a great end of the year racer merry xmas....

i get about 25\30fps with my 6600GT @ 1280x1024 with every thing fully loaded i think its pretty good for the card, sold my 7800gtx lol would probobly get around 70\80fps with it or more, now waiting for ati to come out with a card with at least 24 pipes..

Do you have Shadows, AA and AF all the way up? Coz I have 6600GT and no way the game is playable with all those on highest, the lag is very noticeable..

game is nice. mounted it with daemon tools 4.0 but i have to pull the power and data cable out of my dvd drive for the game to work or else it says : insert the cdrom
is there a way to fix the game so i can have my dvdrom connected ??

Simply mount with daemon tools 4, then download the program called SafeDisc4 Hider (sd4hide.exe)(Google It) then while cd1 is mounted open sd4hide.exe and press the hide button, then play! worked for me and its verry simple and easy, Good Luck! Great Game Cheers!, i'm trying to generate a key and bind it to an account for online play lol is it possible for me to have my own key with keygen?

I mounted cd 1 , with Daemon tools 4 , I ALSO have unplugged my dvd plugs , just in case also for other games with protections and it worked.

what a stupid godamn game. what sort of idiot would set the game up so your wheel controls the menus???
i cant even set it up properly because the stupid game keeps thinking my neutral position for the accelarator pedal is actually being fully pressed which means the menu always shoots down to the bottom.
pathetic.
