I mean it kind of picked up slowly, but I have the same feeling of 'too much stuff to even play it all' again and it's been a rare occasion, honestly. Even more than it already was.

The new announcements and releases (which are all pretty much the last 3-4 months before the new year comes around) do not make it worse either. On the other hand some may think it's the worst year of all time, depending on which titles interest you of course Razz Additionally, newer and returning older titles mix up the reiteration of popular franchises which is also a very nice thing to see.

Upcoming technologic efforts are making good progress on fresh and innovative ideas what Gaming will be in 10-15 years from now.

I couldn't care less about any upcoming technologies, because that usually translates into expensive gadgets and even more expensive hardware required to utilise them. I'm a pauper, I have no way of partaking in the happy-fun-times. Games, on the other hand, I am most definitely looking forward to. This and next year look set to bring some truly great games \o/

I voted it's okay, some great stuff... some crap. So for me it's balanced, there were better years in the distant past.

I have enough titles to keep me busy so having 5 to 10 must play games each year is more than enough for me. Smile

I have to say it would be so much more awesome if we had less exclusives and more multi-platforms. I thought the architecture for the new consoles were better for it... yet nothing changed.

On the tech: They really seem to overprice a lot of stuff. I'm not happy when gaming becomes a lot more expensive. Never have, never will.

reddit shortage for 'does anyone else' small exception for making the title possible Laughing

@sabin1981 Not even the Hololens Pffchh

@Morph Yeah, I even thought the Exclusive shit is even more than years back, kind of getting worse actually? And sad for specific titles that would be great to have on a powerful platform.

feggit acronyms? Are You Serious
Anyway: still "meh" for me. Which is better than my lack of interest a few months back.

FO4, new deus ex, MOAR TW3, just cause 3 and probably one or two more than I'm forgetting will justify buying a decent-ish GPU on the following weeks.
Regarding "new" technologies, I could not possibly ever care less than the absolute zero that I already do.

The Hololens, if indeed it's even real, is much the same as Rift for me; something pretty, something I want, something I can't afford. Simple as that. Like Morph said; I'm not happy with gaming getting even more expensive.. it's getting bad enough as it is just with price of games and now we have goggles and headsets and HMDs and motion controllers to buy too.

It's too much.

@Bob Barnsen secks! nah just getting some discussion in how most here perceive the new stuff and upcoming titles, maybe something else as well? While we only have some specific game threads alongside the Event ones there's none for discussion only even though the aforementioned tend to go into chit chatting often Razz

That's so pre-ME2 Bioware. Nowadays it would be Dragon Age: Enema

It's definitely a good moment for gaming, can't complain really. Since I don't have the money for advanced tech stuff I'll just pretend that it doesn't exist. Also I believe we should thank Microsoft that PC gaming has been saved after being so moribund, and for having revolutionized our hobby by gifting us with their magnum opus that is Gears of War.

What's with the final fantasy remake ?
I never played it as a kid because it was jrpg.. and small kids don't play jrpgs with static backgrounds and blocky characters. but everyone is loosing their minds over remake (the trailer was very good even if I dont know what is ff7)

Ninja please, my first FF game was Final Fantasy on the NES. I was 9. Wink

... and come on, don't even try to sit there and say "I don't know what is ff7" because that's just weak and obvious.

I honestly wouldn't even know where to begin describing it. It's.... a jRPG. Like any other. Lots of story, lots of fighting, lots of twists.

Well its not like ive finished every game ever Laughing
I bet its like chrono trigger or lost odyssey. Have not finished LO tho because it dragged too much and I might have played it too many years after release. Overall I dont like jrpg too much. Chrono trigger just had amazing atmosphere and music. I kinda cheated with emulator to get through it.

Yup, it's VERY much like Lost Odyssey in fact. If you don't like jRPGs though.. then there's no reason to look into FFVII, remake or otherwise, as it's the epitome of jRPG.

I'm really curious about the Rift. Been holding back on getting a TrackIR so I could get the rift at release, but after some reviews and all that shit.

Also, hololens sounds too good to be true!
