Just finished this game. Second game I ever played and finished on a consoleshit, first being Beyond.
This was way better than beyond. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Like the characters LOADS fucking more (I generally dislike everything that whiny foreverteen, Ellen Page touches). Story was a lot better as well, I connected.
But most of all, I felt I was making choices, so that was really great. After like heavy deliberation, I decided not to go through with the 4th trial - just couldn't do it. Was a great moment for me though, never have I cared so much about a virtual choice.
I was on route to what I think was the best ending possible, when I failed like the very last part of the QTE with Jayden, and he died right at the end >D That pissed me off, have to play it again now.
Controls felt off , especially movement, I played the middle difficulty level. I fucking hate dual shock 3. The Xbox 360 controller is so much better. On the DS3 my thumb was slipping off the damned joystick all the frigging time. That's how I failed the last QTE.
Overall, great game, everyone should play this. Not as good as Omikron, but it's QD's second best game, far ahead of Fahrenheit and even more ahead of Beyond.
Now I'm going to play last of us.
P.S. - I'm playing on the same display as I play my PC games on, and when it comes to graphics and input lag ... I just can't understand people, who when given a choice would play a game on a consoleshit. PC all the way, fuck yeah!
I don't care if every console is the same, the very nature of most bugs is that not everyone gets them. I'll repeat again.

I've finished this game three times, never encountered a single issue
you should care , that's why consoles were made ... to give you the same experience on every machine ... this is not PC where drivers or other things go ... oh playing a game ARE WE , FUCK YOU ...
but then glitches on consoles are ... magic ... a thing that cannot be explained ... my 10th try to play this game [from fat ps3 to PS3 slim to Super Slim ps3]... and still glitches ...

and you know what crazy is , i own two versions ... the normal and second one ... and still pure parody ... even Quantic first game Nomad Soul was lulz worthy when you speak about glitches ...
still boggles my mind how could they not see this ... did they test this game on a debug PS3 that has more ram ... and that's why it sometimes glitches when some code is loaded faster then others ? or are those BD drives so slow they read data slower ? or are some discs badly burned/produced/made...
i could say the same about Red Dead Redemption ...
i am not here trolling , about this game is shit broken but still it got GOTY ...
but stunned how could those things be possible on a closed system like a console ... and now some random came and said ... it worked on a hacked from HDD , or it works like this because it was on a burned disk [a thing common in the PS2 era ... saves not working or game glitching or videos skipping] ...
i get GTA 4/RDR problems and glitches that ... where only happening to players that did not have a HDD , it was proven later those games used Cache on your HDD to speed up loading ... no Hdd and this game would glitch ...
but like humans are... we are curious about it ... does this game uses cache ... if yes, why does it happen on a mint non used console with a nearly empty hdd like the SSPS3 ... strange aint it
I definitely will be getting this. Heavy Rain was possibly one of my most powerful gaming moments. I really loved the story and how well it was presented and really felt my decisions mattered - one of these rare cases when it's not just a smoke screen or an illussion, characters really, literally live and die because of your decisions (and failures).
Yes the story was very good, despite the giant plot holes and red herrings everywhere. Still, people who claim they knew who the killer was before it was revealed are lying, the twist was well done IMO.

Likewise for me as well. However, it was more for God of War III, than this game. But it was definitely my second most wanted title when I got my console.
