From the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, comes South Park: The Fractured but Whole, a sequel to 2014’s award-winning South Park: The Stick of Truth.
Players will once again assume the role of the New Kid, and join South Park favorites Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman in a new hilarious and outrageous RPG adventure.
In South Park: The Fractured but Whole, players will delve into the crime-ridden underbelly of South Park with Coon and Friends. This dedicated group of crime fighters was formed by Eric Cartman whose superhero alter-ego, The Coon, is half man, half raccoon. As the New Kid, players will join Mysterion, Toolshed, Human Kite, Mosquito, Mint Berry Crunch and a host of others to battle the forces of evil while Coon strives to make his team the most beloved superheroes in history.
Obsidian are fucking fantastic and their gameplay is fantastic too. KoTOR2? Fantastic. NWN2? Fantastic. Mask of the Betrayer? Fantastic. Alpha Protocol? Fantastic. Fallout: New Vegas? Fantastic (well, most people say that.. I wasn't grabbed so I never finished it). Dungeon Siege 3? Fantastic (no, really, I friggin' love that game) Wasteland 2? Fantastic. South Park TSoT? Fantastic.
No, please, do tell me how their games are lacking in the gameplay department.
last game was great. bought it and played it again a few weeks ago.
i really don't care what kind of gameplay it will got as long as it's fun. these kind of round based fights aren't my thing normaly but it was great in the last game so they just have to make it right again.
if it has the same gameplay as the first game, i'll just watch a let's play to see all the jokes, as the turn based combat was way too shallow and repetetive for my tastes.

KoTOR2's gameplay is literally Bioware's KoTOR1 with a bit more skills. I'll give you NWN2+expansions as it is a lot more different than NWN1. AP's combat is flawed as hell. Just sit behind corner and blind fire with the pistol, or use the even more op ability. FONV, again just straight from FO3 but with ironsight. They did do the questing better but I included that in story...DS3 was an ARPG with console controls, limited powers and options, not as good as DS2, or any other good ARPGs. And let's be honest, we all played South Park because of the story and cutscenes, the combat was just Paper Mario with status effects. Again, not exactly original or well executed when they are just taking them wholesale from prequels games, and add a bit more iterative stuff. Also did we know for sure Obsidian designed the combat or general gameplay for Wasteland 2? Otherwise I think InXile deserves the credit, it is their game foremost.
So of the ones they can take proper credit of, that is AP, DS3, POE, and NWN2, they are all known for the story, the dialogues, and not their combat or other gameplay mechanics that doesn't involve the story. NWN2 being the only exception here as I do think it was almost as good as DAO if not better in some aspects.
With that said I have no idea what Ubi SF is capable of, but I only care about the South Park stuff.
While I'm sure Brian Fargo appreciates your praise, I suspect he would be less pleased with the attribution to Obsidian instead of inXile. I gather you mean Pillars of Eternity.

Yeah... that was it.
No introductions of a second armor rating, weapon mods, item and ammo crafting, different ammo types, slightly more refined companion system, changes on how your health worked re: healing items, introduction of a (barebones) survival system and probably a couple more others that I'm likely forgetting now.

Think Obsidian is busy with F2P MMO game Armored Warfare.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Sorry, my bad and yes, I meant Pillars

Dungeon Siege 3 fantastic? I wanna grab whatever you're smoking!
I'm a Snowblind fan, I'm completely crazy about those aRPGs from the PS2/Xbox/GC era and DS3 was great. It was a TERRIBLE sequel to Dungeon Siege and Dungeon Siege 2, unquestionably, but I didn't care about that.. as a lootporn action RPG itself? Great. The visuals were lovely, the combat felt meaty and it was a friggin' enormous game too.
