What is this anyway?
Just Sims2 with the option to wear a Santa outfit and put a Christmas tree in the corner?

basically its a "booster pack". Something new Maxis is trying in between actual EPs. It has some objects, a few clothing items, some wallpapers/floors but no actual new gameplay. Unlike the EPs which might add new areas, etc.

Keep milking that cow EA! $39.99!! Un-fucking-believable.
So much for "the gift of giving". You'd think a multi-billionaire company like EA would want to please it's "fans" by making something like this really cheap!
What's really sad is that people are going to pay real money for this. I can tell you though, while I'm out xmas shopping, and I see someone try to buy this, they're getting stabbed in the face on account of being stupid.
i can has computar?!

They are ALSO selling the original game combined with the holiday party pack for $39 (for those who don't have the game at all)

Hmmm... Booster pack indeed. I guess it makes sense from a money making perspective, but I wonder if this is like peeing in your pants to keep warm...

Everyone puts down The Sims 2, it's actually not a bad game at all. Everyone has their own taste but I don't think you should criticize it.

I use to work for EA in So Cal and I can tell you they suck! They are located in El Segundo, CA now. They are so money driven. I know every company is but this company wouldn't pay you overtime. They had C&C Generals developers working 3 straight days literally with no overtime during crunch time. No lie, the develpers would sleep under their desks or in their offices. EA = Microsoft, they are the same type of company. Trying to Monopolize their area of expertise. EA will go through what Microsoft did soon. They have already been hit by those developers that didn't get overtime. Now they are offering overtime. With all the money they make it shouldn't have taken a court decision to get the hard working employees their overtime.
Losers!
