Funny, I had none during 14 hour playthroughs Then again, I am playing on medium settings (only textrues and water on high) so it may be, as you say, hardware related bugs.
Ahh, I'm so sad the game had to end, it's a goddamn masterpiece. The story, thw writing, the art, the sheer richeness of thw world...eveything was absoultely brilliant.
I think it's the first time since To the Moon where I felt emotionally engaged to the characters.

Nvidia 900 series users are having a ton of issues with Witcher 3.
Most people seem to either:
1. Close (and keep closed!) any browser while playing the game.
2. Uninstall MSI afterburner and EVGA precision tools.
3. Underclock gpu memory (and maybe gpu core).
4. Go back to driver 347.88.
As someone with the same issues, I can recommend 1 and 2.
If anyone has a 900 series card and doesn't have issues, can you check and see if you have samsung or hynix memory using gpu-z ?

Yeah, he wasn't all too happy about Olaf the Hairy either
Champion of Champions was easy though, easier than some normal fights thanks to free movement.
And in Novigrad...the Elf was called Durden the Tailor...Tailor Durden ?

Tonnes, every night, always when I open the inventory, the thing that's been there since day 1. |
Mine was letter related..
Picked up an unread letter, it crashed. Read a letter in the Inventory, it crashed
After that no crashes

Be sure to explore the areas around Kaer Morhen, there are some quests to do and lore to find. One thing is particularly grim:
Spoiler: | You have to lay to rest the bones of a young (~10) witcher, who was slain by an angry mob and left to rot during the destruction of Kaer Morhen, and has been haunting the ruins of a smaller training outpost ever since. Which means roughly 70 years at least |

Yeah, the Gwyhyr is a troll item - I did almost everything and finished the game around level 35-36.

Quote: | Edge: The economy is tightly balanced to ensure you’re never too well off. How did you maintain that?
Damien Monnier: It’s very difficult! We didn’t want Geralt to be this multimillionaire that just goes around killing monsters. Ultimately, he does it for money; we really wanted you to try to haggle over prices and get more, because you really need the money. |
'Really need it' for what!?!?
Last I checked there was $40k in coin in my inventory, and I've nothing to spend it on. There's probably 3 times the equivalent of that in monster parts + rare crafting ingredients by now.
What on earth do you really need money for? Once I reached Skellige, all doubts to its usefulness were confirmed. Most RPGs have this issue. Gothic 2, Baldur's Gate, all TES - you can always amass way more than you need, and there's nothing worthwhile to spend it on. Especially if you take advantage of the world on offer, be it finding things via exploration or crafting stuff.
Money only really hinders you in the first couple of hours, but even then you can get by without it.
Letting us buy a boat, storage house (to keep sword sets, armour), a horse etc would have made the time finding & earning money much more worthwhile. |
It's even worse once you realize all you need in the game is the witcher sets. On my second playthrough every armor after lvl 14 is vendor food, i don't even try them.

Maybe it is balanced around you playing only the main quest and the few story sidequests like pretty much everything else in this game?

Never too well off...
It's actually quite doable to use the armorer and blacksmith from oxenfurt to get gold easily, if you know what to craft.
Didn't negotiate a single contract so far and I don't plan to either

Probably. Not sure how many repair kits you can find if you only stick to main quests and don't explore much, then you probably use more money for repairing equipment.

But repair kits are cheap as ass. I always buy all in stock, when I reach a merchant, who trades them. Basically the only thing you need. I have like dozens upon dozens of them.

Gwent: Skellige Style seems to have hit a dead end, literally.
Spoiler: |
At this point in the story Geralt is to find a object called the sunstone and use it for a certain purpose and the quest objective was to see Ermion about it, been holding off on going to him and finishing up the remaining side quests first and now with that nearly done it turns out he's negotiating with Lugos - the Skellige champion on Gwent - about something relating to Nilfgaard, was going to go up to him and ask about Gwent but the moment you get close a cutscene begins and you are given a dialogue choice which is essentially:
1) Insult him.
2) Really insult him.
After that things escalate and ends with Lugos the mad becoming Lugos the headless but the quest is still active but pointing nowhere since the quest objective is dead and the game has seen fit to clean up his remains.
(At worst I'll just spawn him again via the console.)
...Think he wanted a favor too but that's not going to happen now with him having a splitting headache.

Maybe you can find it somewhere in his castle like with the Baron if he becomes indisposed.

You can finish it after you finish the game, it reverts to pre-endgame state (minus main quests) and also leaves Geralt standing alone in Kaer Morhen. Kinda sad, but I guess he's used to it.

Huh I see that explains it then, was under the impression the game would end with just the main characters removed but the world would be in the same state you left it, guess something big is going to happen if they decided to revert it back that much.
(Strange that the main characters - Triss, Yenn, Ciri and Avallach I guess plus maybe a few others. - are even removed, could just keep them available minus the main-quest related dialogue in my opinion - as it does with the minor important characters unless you kill them or they otherwise die/leave - , maybe something one of the two mini-expansions will alter.)
