Yeah and the game was already 100% fit for it with some of its customisations too. The seat adjustment is a small but amazing feature to have with the Rift. And then there's the fact that you can actually lean out to the left over your chair's armrest and look backwards leaning through the window, felt strangely natural

Bought it, seems pretty good. I like the improved weather systems and day/night cycles. Sunsets are really something now.

Performance is GREATLY improved, and yes the graphics are very nice indeed. Just waiting for Promods to get updated and life will be on the road once more

the jaggies are always there when on default res even with AA on in options it was always not great. The trick is to raise the resolution and like you with a 970 that is possible to very high resolutions to get those jaggies to dissapear. Try dsr with 33% smoothing.

I've driven all the roads in Norway in that dlc irl with truck, and it's just nothing like irl. Not even close. It's like they didnt even try.
At some spots one lane is wider than the whole road is irl, tunnels are twice as tall as irl.
The real life challenge of driving truck in Norway is nowhere to be found in that dlc.
This is just too fucking dissapointing |
if u do the real thing why would u worry about a game not displaying a real situation lol.
enjoy the real life part of it. Done.

No, the perfomance optimizations and better weather comes with 1.7 update, no need to buy the Scandinavia DLC.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 Update 1.19 is Out Now!
Community Announcements - Timmy the Duck Thief
We are happy to announce that after a short but productive beta the Update 1.19 for ETS2 is ready for release. If you are on Steam your game is probably getting updated automatically just as you are reading this. Retail edition users can use the Updater to grab this update immediately.
Let us recap what's coming with this update:
Hungary expansion - we have added two new cities to the Going East! content: Pécs and Szeged
Mod Manager - for ease of preview and organization of modded content. We encourage all mod makers to check out Mod Manager documentation for instructions on how to make sure that your mods are well prepared for the new Mod Manager.
Manual control for automatic transmission (shifting hints, switch between manual/auto)
Controls for dashboard navigation map (zoom, turn off)
Driver controlled trip info stored in truck computer (distance, consumption)
Editor improvements (see Modding Info)
Matching truck cabin interior looks shown in exterior view.
Improved readability of dashboard info in some trucks (computer display, GPS map)
Added wheel sounds on different surfaces (+ re-balanced sounds)
Added sounds for sticks and buttons in truck cabin
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all the beta participants for your help in polishing this update. It was also fantastic to see the reception and feedback for the Mod Manager feature. We hope that in a short time all modders will be able to utilize its features so that the players would have an easier time tracking, sorting and organizing their favorite mods.
