I think Bethesda does a few things better actually. The environments are more interactive (you can open every drawer, every door, tons of clutter/objects that you can pick up). It really helps with making the world feel more alive.
You never get the feeling it's just smoke and mirrors, this sometimes happens with Witcher 3, you know some houses for example is just graphics, and not actual real objects that you can enter or use in any way.
Great editor and mods which makes the games quite limitless. For us who likes surival RPG's / simulators, there's really no alternative to TES/FO3/NV. Hopefully the modding community for TW3 will be as big as for TES.. though it's unlikely.

That's true, particularly in Novigrad. On the other hand, Bethesda - after Morrowind at least - fails to create an interesting, believable world. What good is opening every drawer and door when all you find is randomly generated loot and idiotic NPCs?
