What? Trolling? You do know that CDPR has confirmed that the XP bug exists and also that they won't be hotfixing it and instead are incorporating it into the 1.05 patch.
Or is this comment a joke on those who denied the downgrade? In that case:
All CDPR said they are aware of people having " issues" which is entirely different, I doubt xp bug exists my self, especially when people say " I've loaded old save and I havent been getting xp for main quests even then " yet somehow they gained nearly 10 levels, Side quests doesnt give that much exp, especially in early levels, you could do side quests for whole day and maybe go level or two up
Edit, not all quests grant experience, treasure hunts grant no exp period, quests without level grant no exp either, grey quests grant no exp and majority of main quests doesn't give any exp either,
35 is pretty much max level, yet people claim they got hit by no exp bug and yet reached level 35, logic is strong in this one

Also from the upcoming patch notes in case you missed it.
"The Pyres of Novigrad quest is of course going to be fixed as well as the XP glitch."
Some spoilers in loading screens. I hand in Contract: Highlands Griffin (24), Master Armorer (24) and Brothers in Arms: Nilfgaard (22) for exactly 0 xp with a level 25 character. In addition to there being no XP prompt, I enter the pause menu so you can see for yourself. The number stays at 836 throughout the video.
Along with the quests I did here, last time around, before I realized there was a bug, I did the swordsmith master crafter quest as well as another contract with similar results. Then I loaded back as far as I could and began waiting for a patch.
Now you can of course continue to argue that literally every quest I do is part of those quests that are "randomly affected in isolation", but let's get real here.

Placebo effect: Also called the placebo response. A remarkable phenomenon in which a placebo -- a fake treatment, an inactive substance like sugar, distilled water, or saline solution -- can sometimes improve a patient's condition simply because the person has the expectation that it will be helpful.
Noone had exp bug, until one folk on ps4 forum posted, day latter, 5 people had bug, 2 days latter everyone had the bug, even if they are reaching max level that is reachable without grinding, getting 10 level in any level range, but all those people experienced " exp bug " after everyone got hit by the paranoia, ofcs devs will say they fixed it...
I don't doubt that this XP bug exists, too many people are reporting it for it not to. It just seems to be very random who it effects.
My playthrough I ended up level 34, there seemed to be a fair part of the MQ where I didn't receive much XP. I'm still not entirely sure whether this was the bug or just by design.
It isn't really worth doing a proper "investigation" and comparing results as it will hopefully be patched soon, it would have been an interesting exercise to track down the precise cause/effect of this bug though.
Good game. Kinda fatiguing and some quest drag for too long but all is find and it actually feels like mass effect1 or kotor1. Reeks of classis, which is good.
Is it only my monitor or is the contrast kinda bad ? I find the game kinda eye straining because of poor contrast sometimes.
anyway.
Am I now at a point of the game where it is established how the game plays for the rest of it ? I know it's long but am I at 1/3 of main quest or not even close ?
Spoiler:
Finished all in Valen. Ciri leads, Baron quests, pellar quests and Keira quest/sex/tower etc.

Try messing with the gamma settings under video options. But I have noticed this problem when it rains during the day. Everything becomes way too dark.

Master Armorer (24) master armorsmith quests, grants no exp, grants access to master armorsmith and additionaly grants best chest armour as reward outside the crafted set, and could be argued best armour even with sets.
Contract: Highlands Griffin (24), part of Master Armorer (24) quest chain is an extra quests that gets triggered by Master Armorer and you do them together, takes 0 effort whatsoever, granted me no exp either, certain it shouldnt, as it takes about 3 mins to do it anyway
Arms: Nilfgaard (22) part of bigger main quests, and all you do is talk with 3 npcs , takes literally 5 mins.. obviously grants no exp, didnt give me either, Yet I still ended at level 35, and was afraid I would overlevel most of my main quest line...
SO yes none of those quests should grant exp...
BUT HEY EXP BUG IS REAL BECAUSE WE GOT USED TO MMORPGS WHERE EVERY QUEST GAVE EXP.....

Yeah. I saw one dude who had finished every quest in the game and he was just level 25, so he couldn't even use a lot of the stuff that he got.. so i can understand the people who are pissed if they've invested 100h+ and it didn't play out as it's intended to..

Well you sure are in a defensive mood. I was just pointing out what I've read. Also from what vurt said it certainly appears that some people are experiencing XP bugs. Maybe only on the PS4 version, I dunno. Me? I'll wait for the patch just to be sure and then play it, placebo or not.
Although if the devs are claiming to fix a bug that doesn't exist just to get some extra brownie points that would also be a pretty dick move, wouldn't you say?

But this is exactly why they are doing it, someone decided there is a bug and everyone including you went into hysteria, chances are they will add some exp to quests that grant no experience and thats why its taking longer, not because its a bug, but because gamers cant accept quests or part of a quest that grants no exp
You know for all the praise Witcher 3 get for having no mmorpg elements or quests, everyone sure as hell want mmorpg experience where you get exp just for talking 10 feet to next NPC

So what you are saying is that even if the devs fix the bug and make sure that quests that are not giving XP now give XP and even though they themselves confirmed it was a bug, you still think that it was all a stunt and that the devs wanted to please a relatively small selection of "MMO players"?
With that argument you just can't be wrong now can you? I'm done.

They never said its a bug..., I am just thinking logically, all of this started because some quests grant no exp, fixing " said bug " takes longer, wonder why is that.... There is no proof that bug even exists, even if you go through pages of witcher forums, there is nothing concrete apart people raging about it, just look through this forum
" got hit by bug, at level 24, ended at 35" WHAT?
" got hit by bug as early as level 10, level 18 now" say what?
and so on, heck at one point I though I got hit by same bug, even though I've done plenty of quests that gave no exp and I was so overleveled that Iwas doing grey quests at one point, and only reason I though its a bug is because of hysteria, and not because I though that xxx quests should grant exp

if this is trolling, you are doing a great job, its very convincing. If not, then
My hysteria is so strong that it has broken the laws of physics and modified the game's code to make a quest give me 0 XP instead of 1000. Fucking hysteria can't keep getting away with it!
