Performance seems more or less the same for me on a GTX970. Now granted it was locked 60FPS for the most on the previous driver too so there's not much room for improvement except for the odd area where the fps dips to like 56-57. Might try bumping the shadows and/or foliage quality to ultra though and see if I can get 60fps with those settings now. Also, didn't notice any extra stuttering although I haven't really been to Novigrad recently so can't comment on that.

The drivers do seem to be more stable though. The Witcher 3 game ready drivers had a tendency to crash while on desktop/ browsing the web. Yet to happen with the new ones.

Spoke too soon. New drivers are as fucked as the old ones. Just had a display driver crash while browsing with chrome.

I have had issues with the drivers before latest with nvidia and my firefox browser, its not often but it does happen with a driver not responding and a restart.

Turned off acceleration in firefox and so far not had it happen since. Lucky or same old issues? meh no idea. But so far so good Very Happy

I couldn't give less of a fuck about DLC. However I am very pissed of of being stuck for a fucking week now.

They actually have the XP glitch fixed, but they won't release a hotfix, because ... I don't know why. I can't understand them. Makes no sense. They will release with patch 1.05. But why the FUCK would they not hotfix, if they have fixed this already. I just can't understand.

What? Trolling? You do know that CDPR has confirmed that the XP bug exists and also that they won't be hotfixing it and instead are incorporating it into the 1.05 patch.

Or is this comment a joke on those who denied the downgrade? In that case: Laughing

Pssst... just trolling the "no downgrade, only hysteria" stuff from the dunces before release when CDPR officially stated that there was a downgrade and the dunces mysteriously went quiet Laughing

I was level 24 when XP bug hit, and just finished at level 35, ignored the bug completely.
Did about 95% of the quests (missed the card game quests, part of the boxing stuff, and a few small hidden quests on Kaer Morhen), and 70% of the question marks - ignored the sea points in Skellige mostly, cause i was already loaded with more than i needed, and had mastercrafted all the witcher school stuff.
So it's defintely playable even with the bug, you won't even notice mostly.

Also, please tell me :

It's cumulative.

I was around level 11/12 (I think), when I got hit by it. The later you are hit, the less effect it will have.

I am also hit by a myriad of other bugs as well, sadly.

Wait, explain it to me. Doesn't the XP bug cause you to not earn any additional XP? So how did you level up from 24 to 35 if you had the bug? Scratch Head

For some quests i got full XP reward (300 - 1000 XP), for others nothing. However, killing monsters always worked, and doing quests rated above my level also worked.

It's still annoying though. Also some people have claimed that they did significantly more than what you described and finished at level 33/34 so the bug might be dependant on specific quest outcomes or something.

Personally I'll refrain from playing til they fix it.

The damnedest thing though is that despite their bullshit I still can't stay mad at CDPR. The game is in most aspects just so goddamn brilliant and better than most games. Hell better than almost all games with the exception of the timeless classics the likes of which this game has already joined in my opinion.

It's the little annoyances, miscommunication and lack of communication, idiotic PR strategies and false claims which make the whole situation way more sour than it has any right to be considering how good the game is.

Geralt should materialize and give the devs a good thrashing.

Good frames here (60fps - GTX 980m) with the GTA5 drivers, so im not inclined to change them, unless everyone starts talking wonders about the new drivers.. that scenario hasnt happened yet, quite the contrary.. so.. Wink

Edit: havent tried in Novigrad yet
