I tried that preset, following the link in the description. But it doesn't work, game hangs on launching, at the sweetfx notification. I guess it's that ReShade tool that's causing it. Too bad, video looks amazing.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
Anyone else sometimes gets the bug during combat, that you can't do any actions anymore, like attack or cast signs?
And if yes, anything to fix it? Currently i just run out of combat several times till it works again
I got the not able to cast signs, or stuck weapon not drawing, probably 'cause i pressed the key at the same time the game auto drawed it. ( i hate the weapon auto draw)
It happens for me when i am already fighting for a bit and am constanly pressing the parry button

I've been surprisingly lucky when it comes to bugs, just a few niggly things, mostly animation or UI.. not hit by the quest/xp bug YET, but that "you cannot do this in combat" thing was particularly annoying.
sometimes game just freezes, sound is still playing doh, but i cant do anything, only COLD Reboot works..
now, i thought its my pc or PSU or whatever.. but after hours of testing i found out that teh default voltage for my GPU is too LOW...
raising it to +15 did the trick i think..
played now 3 hours without a freeze, hitch or whatever.. playing it maxed out (no NV hairshit, that i turned off), oh and view distance i did put on back to high...
now i can enjoy this little gem
just arrived in Novigrad or what its called..
..:: Life - A sexually transmitted disease which always ends in death. There is currently no known cure::..
Yeah well I had crashes with maximum voltage for GPU and now with lower voltage less freezes.....all in all some games are harder on the overclocking afuckingparrently. I have almost no bugs its wonderful. No XP bug yet no control bug some freezes though.
You know if there is one game I would even clean my ass with it's Witcher 3. Fantastic game for men only. Only lvl 9 now But after some more sidequests its already Novigrad time. And Triss fucking time as well.
XP bug potential solution: but I might simply have lucked it.
I decided to just skip main storyline, and Novigrad completely. So I ended up outleveling the Novigrad quests anyway, and as such don't deserve XP for the MQ. Did a couple of quests in the main quest line, and now, other quests in Novigrad give XP as normal.
that must be it.
Average polish wages are about 1050 USD gross per month. Average is a terrible word tho... The calculations are only valid for about 30% of polish employees at all. Most kind of contracts other than desired Contract of employement are not takking part in this calculations. And not many people are so lucky to have contract for employement(indefinite). And that calculations only actually list people who work in companies by industry bigger than 5 people. So the conclusion is that most polish folk actualyl earn less than that 1050 gross. I feel like the only one who have indefinite contract and have achieved that average somehow
both my parents have almost half that. most other people I know also about 600-700 usd.
And prices of luxury goods like gpu for instance are the same as out western neighbors who have euro... so we are fuuuucked
and hfric is right. Fucking hdd/ssd drives went skyhigh
from what ass did you pull that number 1050 USD .. my ass thats like 3800zł (if you count dollar to PLN) the normal average in Poland is 1750zł.. thats like 467dollars .. and from that sum ZUS takes from 475zł to 650zł ... so you only get from 1000~1100zł per month ...294 dollars
if you add tax free 980 zł bonus you get each month and 300 zł working on week days ... and you get how average worker in poland gets paid ...
but you still have to minus it with 600-440 for rent ,300-130 for phone/electric bill/gas
whats left , makes you live in poverty all the fucking time ... i dlatego każdy
Polak mówi że ten kraj jest w dupie
Dude... that 1050usd GROSS. which calculates to 800 usd on hand
U both retarder or what? according to the latest data the average salaray gross is over 4k. 1750 it's almost me minimal...
Okay guys, I've finally started tackling some of the bigger side and story quests and I'd really like an answer to one question .. and even if it's a spoiler (as long as it's not spoiling the whole game, naturally) I need to know;
If I decide to stay with Yen rather than Triss, does it matter if you screwed prostitutes or Keira? Or Madam Sasha? Or Jutta? Can you sleep with all of those and still end up with Yen at the end, as long as you don't sleep with Triss?
It does not matter as long as you don't confess love to Triss.
Thank you Neona, you're a star! Too many conflicting comments online, I needed something concrete I'm off to nail Keira, Madam Sasha and Jutta.... *then* dedicate myself to Yen

I ditched Yen. I just don't have any connection to her (since/because I didn't read the books, I guess?) and can't stand her for some reason. She seems snobby as hell or something. Can't quite put the finger on it.
Triss on the other hand... well... I can at least relate to her and... she's a redhead.
And where the fuck is Shani. All I got about her was some stupid line from a surgeon.
And about Thaler, was that it? That's all? And Roche/Ves, really? So far a big letdown, just like with importing saves from W1 to W2.
What about those two guys from Oxenfurt that want you to test this potion in Flotsam from Witcher2. Can't find those guys anywhere either.
Aye, I had the same thought too but I already chose Triss in TW2, wanted to finish out Geralt's story "as it was meant to be", so to speak. Besides.. apparently Yen warms up quite considerably in the later half of the game's story.
~edit~
And yes, Shani! Shani was awesome But didn't she leave canonically with that child from the first game?
There is a certain surgeon from a questline in Novigrad you can ask about her. He will tell you what she's up to... and it's a letdown. No word about Alvin either. Btw, I edited my post above. Mentioning some other things, maybe you've found something?
Also, the huge hype about the sex scenes in this was - much like the "5000 opening doors in Novigrad!" -- nothing but exaggerated PR rubbish (hey, like the pre-release videos too!) They're thoroughly disappointing and IDENTICAL too, there's perhaps four or five different "scenes" and they all play out the same regardless of whether it's a courtesan or a main character. Keira? Same sex scene as with the hookers at Crippled Kate's or the Passiflora.
Well.. doors do open but there are not that many and not much interesting stuff inside. Whats impressive is lack of loading of indoors. Finally next gen

That's my point, there simply aren't "5000 opening doors", there just aren't. Them claiming that there are is just... meh. So far in the game I've come across more "locked" than open. It *is* impressive that so much of the world is fully open and without loading screens (or even shady hidden ones masked with a door-opening animation, ala Resident Evil ) so I'm impressed by that, quite a lot, but so many locked doors and empty buildings (if you clip the camera through the wall or find an open window you can see they're not completely, just a concrete shell with a roof) cheapens it a little.
Just finished, what a game, ended up at level 34, still few quests left to do.
Every time I felt I am nearing end, there would be another 10 hours of story, then another.
Wait for expansions starts, really wish they would do something with
Spoiler:
time/world travel even if its not following story, those references about Cyberpunk 2077 by Ciri and world travelling quest chain were so good...
You guys know that every village have at least 3-5 buildings with doors you can open, half of the ruins have doors that can open, 5000 doors aren't all in Novigrad, even if not 5000, why do you even care, its just an expression surely you used it as well...
Oh man, this game. Just when I was thinking: "Oh look! Another Dandelion quest just to wrap it up" and bam! another great piece of mission design and writing
Does anyone know how to start/trigger the "Fists of Fury - Velen" chain? Supposedly it starts from the Inn at the Crossroads but there's no such quest or notice there :\

I don't care what sorcery Yennefer is gonna try to pull on Geralt, she's gonna fail irremediably And more so after I read Dandelion's story about how Geralt and Yennefer met

Have you at least encountered the ongoing fights? Both my Velen and Novigrad fighting quests were triggered by approaching one of those when I saw them.
