I'm still in shock with the amount of content they have included within this $60 (standard price point, I paid much less) title. Shame on them, should have followed the modern developer trend and leave around 30% of it for a Season Pass

Keep all the minor glyphs/runes too, since they can be upgraded later in the game. I wish there was a way of unsocketing addons *without* destroying one or the other |
Thanks, will do I was selling all of them in the first 50 hours of the game, but then I read here about the upgrade possibility and I've been keeping them all since. |
68 quests completed not counting contracts and treasure hunts and I haven't even properly started with Skellige besides a couple of quests related to the main story, you sure that number is accurate?
(One quest near Novigrad and the mead house which I can't complete because I ran past it the first time and this causes the NPC to just spout oneliners when you try to talk to her again, quest is also one of the few that are timed from what I've read.)
EDIT: Well I guess if there's 10 in Skellige and 10 in Kaer Mohren it would be accurate.

it sounds off, i read there are 140-150 sidequests in the game alone. dunno whether thats counting the requests and treasure hunts.

Is there any way to see how much the season pass costs via VPN in euros? Toni says it's 19 for him, not very cheap considering it's 25 normally.

I used hola ukr (changed the e-mail and pass on GOG beforehand, changed them again after) but you need to clear all your GOG cookies.

Whats your level difference to Pyres of Novigrad?
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Damn. My problem was between level 11 (myself) and a level 6 main quest (5 levels difference). So there is no correlation.

Morrowind has 450-ish quests.
Oblivion has 200-ish quests
Skyrim has 250-ish quests
The difference with Witcher 3 is that most of them are fully fleshed out quests instead of some random line of dialogue and a marker on your map to kill something (Oblivion + Skyrim). That's the more impressive part in the current gaming climate.
Morrowind had 450 quests and all those damn quests were bloody detailed for the simple reason that there weren't map markers so they needed to actually write down details for you to figure out where you need to go. lol |
That's the problem with TES games, you complete a quest and you are left thinking 'was that it'. The Witcher 3 shits all over those games, you actually feel accomplishment and satisfaction when you complete quests.

I'm kinda same level 12 and now my main quest is all for Novigrad. I guess i won't go there (i'm still getting XP)
Have few quests to finish in Velen. Will wait for patch before going there.

http://www.vg247.com/2015/05/28/the-witcher-3-bug-nullifies-xp-points-for-quests/
Quote: | Speaking on the forums, one of the devs identified the bug, saying “Quests that are 6 levels (or more) lower than yours are not granting experience. Anything else should reward you with exp, we are looking into the issue.” |
problem is that i don't seem to get any exp from the latest quest and based on:
Quote: | Finished the Family matters quest. No experience for that one. Missed 200 xp Suggested level 6 / My level 13
Finished the Get junior quest. No experience for that one. Missed 500 xp Suggested level 12 / My level 16
Finished Count Reuven's Treasure quest. No experience for that one. Missed 50 xp Suggested level 12 / My level 16
Finished Matter of life and Death side quest. No experience for that one. Missed 100 xp Suggested level 12 / My level 16
Finished Now or never side quest. Got experience for that one. Suggested level 14 / My level 16
Finished The play is the thing. No experience for that one. Missed 100 xp Suggested level 11 / My level 16
Finished A poet under preassure. No experience for that one. Missed 1000 xp Suggested level 13 / My level 17
Finished Eye for eye quest. Got 50 xp for that one. Suggested level 12 / My level 17
Finished Redania's most wanted. No experience for that one. Missed 100 xp Suggested level 12 / My level 17
Finished Family blade . No experience for that one. Missed ?? xp. Suggested level 15 / My level 20 |
i was definitely within 6 levels before completing count reuven's treasure but didn't see any exp.
however, now i think i need to pay attention to a full quest line because there are usually several steps so maybe the exp rewards are supposed to be incremental instead of just outright giving me the full thing in one go(if i'm within the not-bugged 6 level limit of course).
if that still doesn't work and no exp is given for quests at any level, i think we're better off hunting question marks or playing gwent until a new patch is released next week. also gonna try out hunts just to see if they also give any exp. |
The quote at vg247.com is either wrong or out of context. The dev said
Quote: | Only quests with their level much lower than yours (6 or more) should not give exp. |
http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/40450-Get-no-XP-from-the-most-quests?p=1712798#post1712798
But clearly that is not what is happening, quests at the same level or above wont even give xp.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but if you aim to collect all Gwent cards and missed those from inkeeper in White Orchard:
it was "fixed" in one of the patches and you can now buy them from the merchant standing next to the inn.
Edit. Well, supposedly. I'm not sure if those are the same cards.
