Checked some of my earlier manual saves at key points in the game. Going back as far as level 10, all of the main quests seem to be affected by the bug, and at least some of the side ones. I'm at 18 now and have progressed quite a bit through the main story, so I must've lost thousands of XP.
Since the (few) unaffected quests and activities did give me some XP, I've been attributing the somewhat slow leveling to Death March's reduced XP gain and some quests not giving XP by design. Stupid me, should've paid more attention to the pop-ups I guess.
But according to CDPR it "doesn't impact the game balance" so it's all good
Same here, "been attributing the somewhat slow leveling to Death March's reduced XP gain"
Edit: going back to it anyway

Well, so far I'm unaffected as I'm receiving XP with every main quest, witcher contract, decision taken and even slayed monsters in side activities. I will keep making manual saves just in case though, nobody is ever safe.
Just entered the swamp regarding the main witch cock storyline and got XP....so what the fuck is that bug? What kind of dogshit is it? And why can't these assholes fix it ASAP? All very questionable...
from entering witcher fortress until curse is lifted, whole quest chain, did you get any exp, I was getting exp until that point, new and old quests, but haven't got any for that long but awesome quest chain
Wondering if that's intended or exp bug hit me really late
the witcher talisman of fanboydom grants you immunity
Just in case, being called a fanboy of a CDPR product (regardless of if the term is accurate or not) doesn't bother me at all, I wish there were more developers producing this kind of quality in video games so I could be called their fanboy in turn (S.T.A.L.K.E.R., the real S.T.A.L.K.E.R., where are you?)
Now, being called a fanboy of FIFA on the other hand (sadly quite a few humpers here qualify for that)

I went up a few levels
Spoiler:
right before the battle of Kaer Morhen, this is after you go get Ciri. The main quests after that should also grant 1000+ exp.
only if you are hit by it, some quests by default give no exp, or give at strange times which makes people paranoid, just do couple side/main quests and see if you get exp, tbh you could do most of side quests without exp asthey give little anyway

Few more polishing patches and I will be a fanboy too hopefully.
Sabin, good call on sticking some points into that arrow deflect skill. I stuck three in it and not only can you deflect the arrows back at the shooter, sometimes you'll hit his own people. And like you said, with the double damage, that's usually an instakill. Came up on a larger group of bandits and took out four (including the archer) before they even got to me
To anyone who has already tested. What's a better choice for effect of runes/glyphs: stagger or stun?
Stun because it can sometimes trigger instant executions like Axii's stun.
Well, thanks for the info I didn't want to irreversibly waste those runes/glyphs and sword/armor slots.
Keep all the minor glyphs/runes too, since they can be upgraded later in the game. I wish there was a way of unsocketing addons *without* destroying one or the other
Level 10 and doing a lot of side quests..Still in Velen country..Did not go to Novigrad yet nor to The other area south east...Really enjoying this game.
I haven't experienced any game breaking bug or any type of real annoying glitches so far, the game looks awesome. Runs really great on my side too. Around 50-60 fps.
I encountered a few CTD but nothing to really complain about as I played really long sessions ( 6-7 hours ) without crashes.
And as for the XP points. I still get them. Doing the Baron quest right now, think I'm almost done and Im getting all the XP along the way..
Any who, been a long time I enjoyed a game like this

115 hours now and apparently I've only done 46 out of 88 quests that are in the game (both primary and secondary, doesn't count witcher contracts or treasures). I don't plan going to Skellige yet, as I still have a couple of quests and a few treasures/contracts to do in Velen/Novigraad that I wouldn't want to leave for later when I'm overleveled for them.
I'm still in shock with the amount of content they have included within this $60 (standard price point, I paid much less) title. Shame on them, should have followed the modern developer trend and leave around 30% of it for a Season Pass

Thanks, will do I was selling all of them in the first 50 hours of the game, but then I read here about the upgrade possibility and I've been keeping them all since.
Morrowind has 450-ish quests.
Oblivion has 200-ish quests
Skyrim has 250-ish quests
The difference with Witcher 3 is that most of them are fully fleshed out quests instead of some random line of dialogue and a marker on your map to kill something (Oblivion + Skyrim). That's the more impressive part in the current gaming climate.
Morrowind had 450 quests and all those damn quests were bloody detailed for the simple reason that there weren't map markers so they needed to actually write down details for you to figure out where you need to go. lol
Pulled the trigger on the season pass on ukr gog yesterday, another 15€.
Shit, even the 25€ on my zone feel more than worth it for more of this, but if one can get it cheaper...
