How likely is that ever to happen, while keeping it like the RE2 we knew and loved?
The term "remaster" by itself refers to improved technical aspects (or even more strictly improved presentation of the original art). So if the game were to be remastered it would be the same game unless said otherwise. And I don't see why they would change things, they didn't change anything in REmaster which is a considerably harder game than RE2. But RE2's source art can't be properly remastered. It has to be remade. Which is unlikely. Because it costs money. So enjoy your RE0 HD and RE CVX HD likely to follow in the future.

0% likely to happen at all, let alone in the way that RE1 and hopefully this one did/will work out. Like CRAPCOM will spend any money in order to produce proper assets for it

The original game's director is working on this (not that it matters - it's not like Mikami worked on REmaster and it's not like RE0's director did a flawless job either).

Nice, I've never had the chance to try this one with the emolator. Even if it won't be the perfect RE experience, I'm sure it will be better than all the modern Resident Pews.
