Enthoo Evolv ATX TG // Asus Prime x370 // Ryzen 1700 // Gainward GTX 1080 // 16GB DDR4-3200
For me it was automatically equipped into the quick items, like a torch.
Yes, for me as well, during the main quest. Now I want to use it after the quest and can't seem to find it anywhere in my inventory or quick slots. Maybe I need to go "see" Keira again...
Press TAB and it will be in the lower tier slots. Select it like you would select a bomb or a crossbow
Sadly not! It was, during the Magic Lamp quest. Now I'm in Velen, trying to do the haunted stuff and the lamp is no longer in my quick slot nor inventory. Maybe I'm bugged. :-/
Theoretically it will probably be possible to mod in more card players eventually, once the toolset comes out.
Btw Sabin, it could be worse. You could have a 760 like me.
Game runs poorly on 760 ? Asking because i have same card, bud didn't yet purchase the game.
Depends what's your definition of poor.
Forget 60FPS with current drivers/v1.03
More like 40-50 FPS with low shadows/grass density/foliage - rest high.
My Windforce Gigabyte OC version (3 fans one) boosts core clocks at the very limit and still its not enough.
IMO it runs decent, considering the situation we currently have.
But based on other AAA titles it runs poorly. Similar to AC Unity.

My god.. those poor fuckers trapped into using a controller on this There's no map button, you have to open the menu and then select map, and you can't arrange/sort your inventory either!
Yeah, luckily I can reach over and pick up the mouse for finicky stuff like the inventory, but man.. those on consoles? It feels so restrictive Still, combat seems okay on a controller and you don't *feel* the awful "this is not 60fps" as much.. so it's kind of needed right now :\ Cranked everything back up and RTSS limited to 40fps, much more playable it seems.

My settings with a 760:
Vsync - Off (adaptive set in nVidia control panel)
Framerate - Unlimited
Res - 1080
Display - Fullscreen (tried borderless windowed as well with no difference)
Hairworks - Off
Background characters - High
Shadows - Medium
Terrain - High
Water - High
Grass - Medium
Textures - High
Foliage - Medium
Detail - High
Motion Blur - Off
Blur - Off
AA - Off
Bloom - Off
Sharpening - Off
AO - None
DOF - Off
CA - Off
Vignette - Off
Light Shafts - On
It averages around 30fps, occasionally spiking up to around 40fps. Not smooth at all, probably need to cap it to 30fps. I rolled back to the previous driver as the latest was causing freezes in the menus (and none of the "fixes" worked). Probably need to drop shadows and water to low, and foliage as well most likely. I doubt the next set of nVidia drivers will provide a miraculous increase in performance.
I got the 760 too, my settings are:
Vsync - none
Framerate - Unlimited
Res - 1080
Display - borderless windowed
Hairworks - Off
Background characters - High
Shadows - Low
Terrain - Low (set this to low cause tessalation aint working at all atm)
Water - High
Grass - Low (not much different from medium , but fps boost is good)
Textures - High
Foliage - low (10 fps from low to medium)
Detail - High
Motion Blur - Off
Blur - Off
AA - Off
Bloom - On
Sharpening - Low
AO - None
DOF - On
CA - Off
Vignette - Off
Light Shafts - On
I get 50 -60 fps most the time, lowest goes into 40's, never 30
All in all i think this game could run better, on lower settings at least, but it does run better than unity for me.
Its funny, cause i was just trying crysis 3 for the first time on this computer (never played the game before) and it runs silk smooth 60 fps on high.. and that game is suposed to be demanding right?..

I corrected that copy paste, im not using any kinda of vsync, but forced on seems to work and the i game vsync seems decent, im just not using it, cause i saw in a guide that borderless actualy gives like 5 fps boost, i havent tested enough, but i did seen few fps increase, but i could be wrong.

I got a really old processor (by todays standards), a Q9550 overclocked @ 3.4 Ghz, so my GTX 670 is seriously bottlenecked in the newest games. I was getting 40 fps consistently but in some areas it kept dipping to 30 and going back up to 40 then back down to 30 and so forth, which caused an annoying stuttering sensation, so after reading Durante's article I just decided to cap it to 30 fps with RTSS + use borderless screen and it plays smooth now to my liking, even during fights With that in mind, these are my settings:
Vsync - On
Framerate - Unlimited
Res - 1080p
Display - Borderless Screen
Hairworks - Off
Background characters - Ultra
Shadows - High
Terrain - Ultra
Water - Ultra
Grass - High
Textures - Ultra
Foliage Distance - Medium <--- most demanding setting by far
Detail - Ultra
Motion Blur - On
Blur - Off
AA - Off (handled by SweetFX preset)
Bloom - On
Sharpening - Off (handled by SweetFX preset)
AO - HBAO+
DOF - Off
Color Aeberration - Off
Vignette - Off
Light Shafts - On
So, can you actually fuck with some girls this time? I met some herbalist in the first zone that i helped to cure some girl. And she said something which meant she would like to fuck later
In Witcher 1 you fucked girls and got some card as a trophy. In Witcher 2 i think there was already much less fucking involved
I had to play for 50 hours until the first sex encounter. Geralt has standards now, he doesn't fuck random tavern wenches, only important plot characters.

Sure, they created a pretty amazing world and feels very believable but none of the important NPC's (read quest givers) ever move from their damn spot. They are there 24/7. Even the two blacksmith kids are up at 3 AM to talk to me whenever the quest deems fit.
It annoys me. It's a far cry from Gothic and I'm slowly starting to think that Gothic 1 and 2 were probably the epitome of RPG.

Actually, that's only the Xone if it's true. PS4 has shortcuts for both inventory (hold down touch pad) and map (swipe up). Item management still sucks, though.

My main gripe with games like these on a controller is you can't turn the camera simultaneously as you dodge etc.
