Yeah, that seems to be the ticket, though, I've met some great, like-minded people in the public sessions and would hate to remove that from the equation.

Damn, I miss the damage system from GTAIV where you could shoot cops in legs to avoid fatalities and just leave them wounded. Here everyone dies no matter what, even if I use a small caliber pistol.

wot?? most of the enemies.... cop or not... are only going down with one headshot.
otherwise i always need more then one shot. they always stand back up after shooting them in the legs.
but then again it's maybe because we play our missions/heists on hard?

They bleed out after a while.
But why would someone kneecap cops in GTA is beyond me. You don't get points for being goody-two-shoes
Plus if you shoot them in legs they will just sit on the floor and still shoot you.
sometimes they stand behind a wall or a box or whatever and the only thin i see is a leg or arm.
of course i try to aim for the head if i can.
man i want to see you do the last heist mission without any knee shooting
Does anyone here that paid for both a last gen console version (360/PS3) and the PC version feel a little ripped off after finishing the PC version? Yes sure the graphics are a little better, not ground breaking good but the experience, look and style of the game is the same. Maybe because my gaming PC is not that highend I didn't feel vowed.
I also looked at youtube videos of people running the game on $3000 rigs and comparing it to the 360 / PS3 versions it looked better but not that much better. Here is an example:
Then look at the crazy people in the comments saying the game is so much better on PC BUT that isn't taking into consideration that the reviews and comparison are running the game on a really high end rig compared to what most people have which is a $500 to $800 machine or even a cheap $400 PS4 and the last gen $200 consoles. The hype surrounding the PC release was BS because of this and I fell for it. NEVER AGAIN.
If you manage to see the game on a high end computer in motion it does look breathtaking. All those crisp textures and no jaggies really make the game look like poetry in motion.
youtube videos, while they already show the difference, don't really give it justice as they DO compress and the PC is the one that suffers the most as it loses all that crispness.
The beauty is in the small details which is what gets lost in the videos. But I also speak from the point of view of not giving a crap about consoles and never cared for the game until it got released on the PC.

I played it on 360 when it came out and I think the PC version is way better mostly for the framerate. The graphics are improved but not by a huge factor, since they're mostly just higher fidelity versions of old assets.
Do you need to get gold for every mission in order to complete 100% game?
Thanks.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Do NOT compare Cock360 to PC EVER. Nothing absolutely nothing is the same or even similar. Res is higher or even a lot higher better and lots more grass far better viewdistance far better textures far better effects no 30fps dickstuttering and no popup flickering fuck problems. Almost none. The 360 version or lets call it Xbox 2 version is a goddamn joke.
Ah fuck cant properly quote here. Ignore the quote.

Not sure what you was expecting, its literally the same game gameplay wise. Nothing ground breaking to expect there.
And visually unless you looking at someone play it in person, you really cant compare compressed youtube videos of PC, to compressed youtube console videos, and get a whole scope of it. Many of the differences are subtle but add up to a game thats majorly better looking.
No jaggies, smooth 60fps, soft shadows that change with distance from object, tessellation of textures and walls, much better grass, MUCH sharper textures, ect ect.
I mean unless this is how obvious you expect the youtube videos to make it looks compared:
Spoiler:
you wont really notice a HUGE difference unless you experience it yourself.
I got a 4 year old rig (2500k 16g ram..only thing new is my 970 card) and it looks amazingly different than console, and a solid 60fps unless all hell is breaking loose..then maybe 45-50ish.

There were some deformation mods, but I haven't been following them or know how good they are. Don't think they were out to simulate the damage model of the PS3 and 360 tho.
