Those aren't *all* the POIs and you do learn most of them from books, sign posts, message boards and conversations -- and yes, apparently you can completely disable them too. |
I'm in White Orchard, so I don't know how it works later on. When I open the world map, I see a number and a question mark above. I assume that's the number of POIs I haven't been to yet since it decreases when I find one. Now when I count the question marks on the map, the amount on the map is the same as the number on top, so I guess all the question marks are already present on my map. Am I correct in my assumption? This would mean all the POIs were already on my map when I started the area.
I don't know whether I explained it clearly.

Finally finished the Wild Heart quest, motherfucker! Even had to lower the difficulty.
Spoiler: | Because the friggin Werewolf has super OP regeneration and only the difficulty setting plus using a shitload of 3! different kinds of bombs got me through TWO stages of this boss fight... Unbelievable, WHY! If I wanted it to be a Dark Souls frustrating moment I'd have turned up the difficulty...(wasn't even underleveled) |

I actually don't know in regards to the POI count at the top, but I do know that all the ? you see when you first get to White Orchard *isn't* the full amount of ? on that map, I've discovered quite a few that weren't already shown and had to either be ran into, or added to map via books/conversations/etc.

When you do quests with Keira eventually you'll get an item that can open those things.

Mehh, the inventory bug is annoying as hell. Received a book duringa a quest, and started reading it, after finishing it to my dismay the game had frozen. Could move the mouse, but i just couldn't click on anything :/

I redid a section once and all the loot was the same so it looks to be hand placed.

JBeckman wrote: | Come to think of it while I'm not sure how it works exactly AMD has a tessellation control slider in CCC which you can scale from off, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x and finally 64x so wouldn't that be usable to control it on a global scale?
(IE in this game the water ocean quality tessellation factor can be adjusted - or tweaked, by default it's 32x at high and 64x at ultra. - but if it's hardcoded for the hair effect wouldn't this work to scale it down to more reasonable levels?) |
Yeah obviously changing the slider will affect all the tessellation in the game, whether it's hair or ocean. They'll all be limited to whatever you set as maximum. The reason that works is because it always goes through the driver with the number of samples; so even if they hardcode 64 samples for the hair, the driver can discard that value and replace it with the one from CCC
The slider is only a maximum too, it doesn't lower stuff that already meets the limit.
