And people were laughing that GTA V was not optimized?

This has the worst optimization ever. Even with fan profile at 85% I am sometimes reaching 80C with my GTX Titan. Ive never seen this before, even with Crysis 3 I was able to stay below 80C.

Yup, this one is terrible. Really and truly. I'm almost always at 90-99% GPU usage and really, as good as the game looks, it doesn't look *that* good :\ I'm genuinely curious what kind of system they had that ran the game as it USED to look, way back before the Titan-X was even a rumour Laughing

Fucking awesome game though, 11 hours in and loving it Very Happy

Haha! I've got a custom fan profile on mine, so it doesn't go above 80C (the "downclock" rate for Kepler cards) but the fan does ramp up to 80% .. which is really, really not silent. My poor wife Crying or Very sad

Quote:
Go Ahead And Don Juan It Up

We’ve been trained by years of RPGs to think of romance as an either/or scenario. In the world of The Witcher 3, sex is more casual. Geralt can sleep with a number of different women over the course of the game, and the sex scenes are often a lot of goofy fun. While some main characters almost certainly will react to your romantic decisions, I actually don’t really think that you have to “choose” one or another person in the way you would in a different game. Be adventurous! Live it up!

My gtx760 is reaching 68Cº with fans always at 40% should i get it to 60% to cool it a bit or are these temps fine?

68C is perfectly fine Smile Kepler cards start to downclock when they break 80C but really, anything up to and including that is fine, they're tough little buggers Very Happy Mine "downclocked" from 1.2Ghz to 1137Mhz at the most intensive extended 99-100%/80C mark.

Ok. I'll leave this one alone for a bit. Maybe until I finish TW2.

So far I had 3 quest bugs, that make me wary to continue.

First, I finished a treasure hunt. Saved, got killed later on, reloaded, and now I have the completed quest restarted, stuck on the first task, with no way to finish it, since the treasure container is already looted and the note I have to read does not trigger the next task.

Second, I got a quest to safeguard a couple looters from ghouls. Sure, got to it, killed a few waves, then got carried away and the quest giver got killed. Sure, reload. Had a save with the quest already in progress, reloaded that, and the task immediately got completed with the ghouls still roaming about.

Third, I cleared out a person in distress location, cleared out all the loot, then went to the cage, and now the prisoner is yapping about getting the key, but there is no more containers or bodies to loot. So he's stuck.

Everything else works ok. The controls are a bit clunky, Especially the horse feels very unresponsive at times.

Witcher3 has stopped responding/working, when trying to launch it... Bad version? Sad

- Renaming Galaxy.dll to something else gets the game working but it does moan that it's not installed

This is starting to get annoying, I constantly have to quick-save just in case the game freezes.
It's a bit better now but damn, no more than 1 hour of gameplay before the damn thing locks up and I have to alt-tab and kill the process. Sad

Great fucking game. Just entered Wyzima got my dick hair shaved and am now choosing my dick dress.

Vram usage is under 2gb even in 1440p man what a shit but it's still looking great Smile My 970 downclocks at around 70C and the game freezed a couple of times with 1515 so went back to 1510mhz now it works fine. Still above 980 so its ok.

The game looks so fucking good. And the winds swaying on wind :cute:

Not sure if I want to play in polish or english too.
And yep... 18fps on ultra 1080p with pubic hair just for show. That's too low even for me Laughing
with pubic off, I get about 30+fps most of time on ultra so I can play with 30fps limit fine. Or try to lower something else

the game looks absolutely incredible for me. i prefer current more colorful look much more over the lame "next genish" tinted grey/blue/brown look from 2013 footage.

also i think optimization is fine. GTX780 OC here and at 1080p I get 55-60fps with just 2 settings lowered from ultra to high (foliage distance and shadows), as well as hairworks off. i have 5820K at 4.4ghz, but this game isn't CPU heavy so that doesn't matter much.

people who say optimization is bad must have bad specs or unreal expectations.
