Finally found some free time to complete several quests from the first area after yesterday's quick testing. I'm enjoying the game a lot. Razz
For me this Witcher feels almost like a Piranha game in terms of world design and exploration, though *sad trombone* like many of you guys have mentioned in the previous pages there are aspects from the AAA gaming that I'm not fond of, such as all the point of interests automatically marked a-la Ubi softie, and the Arkham Witcher sense thingy which is implemented in a way that is too straightforward for my liking.

Anyway, I'm finding the combat system pretty good, it's very Witcher-2-y and is still rough-ish but I'm happy that rolling isn't mandatory anymore, plus there's good flow and slicing beasts from mah Roach is nice too. The side quests are just great, definitely not the usual fillers^^

Writing, voices and characters are as expected above average if compared to most AAA titles out there (especially Bioware's ones, but those are children's games, not even real competition Cool Face)

My issues at the moment are that controls and movements feel "floaty" (almost delayed) with mouse and keyboard Okay, there's some odd wonkiness when fighting many monsters which is annoying. It's playable for me (hell I used m/kb in DS too xD), but not perfect by any means.
And of course the fact that graphically speaking the game is just alright, but nothing mind-blowing for the obvious reasons. Razz (The atmosphere is on point though, same for all the atmospheric effects, and how models are animated/presented)

Will look into that tonight^^ (something could be done for the colours, but I fear that it won't be anything wow-worthy Very Happy)

I wonder if you can get the nights darker because right now it's so bright it feels like the devs are trolling.

Even GTA 5 allowed you to go pitch black ffs.

The game is dark enough even during the day (due to retarded artsy contrast) why would you want it more dark ?

Can't you turn off the point of interest?

I totally agree with the "witcher vision" thing. Its beyond annoying. They should have just kept it same as in Witcher 2 (press Z or what was it and it highlights stuff).

I did, twice Laughing

It froze while playing around in the inventory.

I love the game so far ( I'm supposed to follow Vessemir, but I keep dying in a nearby shore with drowners ). I can't stand the controls, too many buttons for KB/Mouse and using gamepad is a bit weird.

Runs great on my PC.

Tested this finally, runs very well Ultra+hairworks @ 1080 (Screen can't do any higher).

While it runs at good, stable fps, the game crashed when after I reached first cutscene after the tutorial (Graphic card drivers stopped responding).

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

I understand that those cost money....10-15 years ago before you could look stuff up on the internet.
Chances are you've got either a smartphone or a tablet to run those apps, meaning you can just google whatever you're looking for, for free.

This is probably an optimized interface for the smartphone, with trusted collected info.

Prima is good stuff actually. And this is from 10-15 years experience, in both book form and digital form.

It looks kinda nice tbh.

It's 48SEK (5€) for something you can get completely free. My cousins used to buy these kind of guides, which to me was a complete waste of money as they'd look up just a few things yet spent quite a bit of money on the guides.
This app offers nothing else than what you can find with a quick search on google, if it at least was somehow synced with your in-game character and would even point you out on the map or something then it would actually be worth the money (to me).

MSI Afterburner works here, ReShade won't work as this is one of those games that have issues with detecting the key input for ReShade so while effects and such work it's currently not possible to toggle them on or off and use other features such as the screenshot functionality.
