As I suspected, it's unplayable on my peasant GT 750m. Even with everything on low @ 720p it doesn't go beyond 20fps.

Oh well... moving on I guess...

You can try to edit that file, it seems to be all there.

About the lock, maybe you have to edit the following file

"C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\base\hidden.ini"

This file has
"LockControlScheme=0"

sadly this doesnt work, cant rebind any of those locked controls
Autohotkey, kurwa mac

I actually was wagering that post-launch, most of the downgrade hysteria crowd would screw the quests and run around surveying the area in search for shitty graphics. Well shieeeeet, it is all about the gameplay.... Whistle me elmo

Don't need to. Just walk out the balcony at the Witcher's keep and take a look at the wall texture. It stands out like a sore thumb at how low the texture resolution is Very Happy

I have to say though, I am quite annoyed at the over reliance on the stupid Witcher sense and the neon psychedelic glow. It's tiresome.

I looked over every .ini and .xml in config folder and i haven't found anything that can tweak the pace of Geralt. Really hope for patch in this direction coz its really annoying.

witcher sense FOV is really bad..

Btw is there "area loot" option or something? So that I don't have to search every body around Geralt Laughing

PS I'm pleasantly surprised how fast save'\loading is.

@swebarb

It's really low. Less than 1.5GB I think. And that's with

water grass foliage on high, shadows on low rest is ultra + SSAo instead of HBAO+ (coz I dont see any difference lol)

I guess it doesn't depend much on CPU. With Intel i3 and GTX Titan I get 50-60 fps on Ultra, no hairWorks.

4 hours in and I'm only just level 2, haven't progressed the main quest at all apart from some talking in the tavern Very Happy

Movement controls suck big time. Feels like playing Dark Souls. Witcher2 was much more responsive.

PS.: 20 FPS on high setting with ultra textures on a 1GB HD5850 o_O, that's about what I got in TW2 upon release before the optimization patches improved performance. AMD FTW

I played only a bit and am now in the tutorial section. Let me put it this way: it really looks good. But not better than Dragon Age Inquisition in my opinion. BUT the atmosphere the music the world the talking....brilliant no doubt about it so I will enjoy Smile

Turned off motion blur and Vsync.

Yes. I still have to see a CPU-bottlenecked game.
