Kinda defeats the purpose of calling it "Ultra" though. Not to mention most of the people are far away from 970/980,so it would also make more sense to develop "dirty peasant" section better. As it stands right now, it's meh on either end.

Yup. Pretty much what I was going to say. I'm tottaly fine with benchmarking low on 720p and medium/high on 1080p. But ultra? At least benchmark with 1080p and 1440p.

In the unlikely event it runs... is there any advantage imported save has over setting it up via conversation? Story-wise only, idc about the rest.

Also, holy @ above, winter is coming. Aldersberg was right all along.

So I don't bother reading much about games anymore until just before release. Can you tell me what you mean by "setting it up via conversation" ? I don't have my save from playing TW2.

There's a way to establish what you did in the past without a savefile - by talking about it with someone (irrc). What I do not know is whether it covers every possible "world state" that could be otherwise imported by save - or whether it touches W1 for example.

So my buddy just bought 2 980's to SLI and each came with batman and witcher 3, he gave me the spares. never played previous, never seen a video.

Is it like skyrim? is the combat real time? haven't even seen a video of 3 or the previous games.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. But I have just realised I actually do have my saves back from 2011 Shocked

They say it's like Skyrim with some limitations. Real time, simple combat mechanics.

Witcher blows Skyrim out of the water in pretty much everything except being moddable, but beware that the combat isn't exactly a strength in the series.

@4treyu combat wasnt that good in Skyrim either, sadly. FROM Software are the few that got it right these days, IMHO.

I quite enjoyed the non melee combat in Skyrim.

And as "big" as this game is going to be for CDPR (it sits only under GTAV in terms of streaming. . .which is a big deal) - Skyrim levels of sales? I don't think so.
