I am satisfied with my XFX 7800GT and I am not sure I will get a 7900GTX/Ultra/whatever becuase when games comes that are using the potential of them a new gfx will be out anyway.
I am more into getting another 7800GT to run SLI if that is what it takes. Prices on them will drop real fast anyway so...
About ATi having the best, it is more about which game being tested and a few more factors.I would say no matter which one you buy you will be satisfied...

Sure I can donate my old ATi Rage3d XL 8mb...
You will most surely like it....
The other old gfx's are already sold so no luck for you there. If I would still have my 6800GT around sure you could've gotten it...

Clock frequencies are far from all that matters. There are cards with slower speeds that still beats the crap out of higher clocked cards.
Look at it as an CPU. We all know that even though AMD cpu's has slower speeds they keep up with Intel cpu's at higher speeds. Its the same thing, being more effective with whats avaible.
About the mem speed though, not sure the 90NM process has any effect on the mem speed to be honest. That affect the GPU itself, the memory is made elsewhere in a different manner. However it could GDDR4 couldn't it? That would mean more bandwith anyway and most likely tighter timings too.
But as with everything, wait until you see some tests of the card in action and decide then. Never decide on pre-release specs.

Ahhhh the good old 7900gtx thread what a time. The card was good especially with the 512mb ram but only a short amount of time later the 8800 changed the world with more or less double the power. Man those were the fucking times....
Cant we get a 100% faster card now to change graphics again? To really blow our dicks away?

I wish. Problem is people regularly upgrade with just small incremental steps in power.
Ryzen 5 5600, ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI II, Corsair Vengeance RGB RT 32GB 3600MHz C16, MSI RTX 5070 Ti Ventus 3X OC , Corsair RMx Series RM750x. AOC AGON AG324UX - 4K 144Hz 1ms

I suggest you learn from your older self and start writing properly again. It's evident that you can.
If you want a home here, you need to learn not to piss people off. A good step towards that is not writing like you have been doing recently.

Well Epsilon I think this is a matter of perspective. I think the fucks make a post spicier. These first posts here are boring bullshit and not right for this forum. And the dicks are a part of our male body are they not? So no need to fear the dicks at all.
Anyway a 980 ti is welcome in my mind.

Only one opinion matters in this case. And thats the one of all your fellow users who've used chrome plugins to not read your posts. Adjust your ways or the next time someone reports you, we will be a whole lot harsher than a temp ban.
@Ankh 980Ti is all I know, launch window was allegedly set for the next two weeks.
